SOUND OFF: What Do You Want To See More Or Less Of On Highbrid Nation?
whats the future of HN?
Okay, so today is an extremely slow news day. I honestly can’t find to many interesting things going on. So I figured it’d be a good time to talk to you guys.
Highbrid Nation has been around for a few years now and we are constantly trying to evolve and take it to the next level. So now it’s time for me to ask the Nation. What would you like to see more or less of going into the future? Would you like for us to cover more subjects than we currently do? Maybe more tech or sports? Maybe less Fat Backs (yeh right)?
Please voice your opinions. We want this site to be about the readers, The Nation, and for us to do that we need to know what you want.

Point taken. Me and Juan are both somewhat tech heads on the low. Especially when it comes to the “nigga technology” (new phones, comps, ect). Expect to see more tech showing up on the site in the near future.
Keep the fatties coming on a regular basis. It’s been too infrequent. More of a knowledge base would be nice. Music is fine but something outside of foolish niggras dancing.
Fat Backs have been pretty much everyday and we’ll continue to bring back the marathons on holidays

I been a fan of the nation ever since Karb put me up on it. Kudos to all you guys n all the work you put in and thanks for putting Diverse Elegance on with our “Where should I go” video n the Excess Bangers series..I’d say switch up the layout periodically..maybe have a highbrid expo where each of u talk about current topics, fat back awards etc..pre select some artists to perform..have a big party..just some ideas
We’ve been talking about taking HN “offline” which a a few events. Stay tuned. We’re cooking some stuff up on that front.

I feel like we can have a little more sport issues, a little more fat back (just random girls from the hood), and a whole lot LESS of anything BOW WOW, SOULJA BOY, or any other wack ass rapper out there. I know you guys noticed that nobody commented on the last BOW WOW post…..LMAO! Wack ass NICCA!!! Oh yeah and how about a little more insight on hip hop’s beefs? We don’t really get to read all the details thats going on in this shady industry. I’m just saying…..
I would say we should just ban Soulja Boy and Bow Wow forever from HN but they are so fun to clown but point taken.
I feel what your saying about the beefs and that is something we can cover a bit more. Of course we’d have to keep it balanced and talk about the positive in hip hop as well.
I have been coming to your website about a month now, and find it to be very informative. Could you do more things on world news specifcally what is going on in the global economy (the U.S. stock market as well).

Its an interesting balance here on HN. We try to figure out how we can relate all those big stories to the urban professional male that reads this sight. For instance “why should HN readers care about the oil spill in the Gulf?”. Thats basically the kind of questions we find ourselves asking ourselves. Sometimes we figure out how to make it appeal to you guys. Sometimes we don’t But We’ll continue to bring the rest of the world to the hood for your consumption.
Keep on doing what your doing and whatever BET does do the exact opposite and you guys should be fine!!!!!!

significant news within the black community. HN could be an online leader in up to date information that affects us. more economic and political stories as well as music, movies and other forms of entertainment. I’d even take a page out of ebony and profile a specific person or issue for that specific week. but yes still keep the fatties coming. along with that milk mondays lol
Thats an interesting idea about the profiles. Maybe we can do something with that.
How about each week pick an influential or controversal person for the HB followers to pick a part. Also, have a quote from various time periods so positive flow can remain with us throughout the day. Example Charles Swindoll: ATTITUDE….google it
I like the idea about the quote. I see a theme in that quite a few of you lost the mudslinging we do on HN but would also like to see it balanced with some positive things.
HN has a great balance: Fatbacks, serious news and Pop culture news, music. What about doing live forums/interview with: artists, civil rights (NOI, for example), and people who are doing great things in their communities (or who have had to overcome something of great difficulty, or are still going through it?)…
We used to do quite a bit more interviews back in the day. As we started speaking our minds more and not holding back, less people have wanted to give us interviews. We tend to keep it all the way real on this site and have rubbed quite a few people the wrong way. Maybe going into the future we’ll find a few brave souls that are a willing to dance with us.
I must say that every morning i check out the site for the fatbacks, and i got hooked, especially with Malaih, but i can say that the issues that you bring up has caught my attention. The discusions that are had are very intersting.Keep up the good work!!! I would change a thing!!!

I love this site my fav 5 no doubt , The ladeez r hella cool and fine keep all the thickeez cum’n . Keep the Milky Mondays coming as long as they r Thick Vanilla shakes no hollyweird hoez or stick chixxx of any flavor. Though I’m looking to find out what to add to HN, we have no plans on taking anything away. So if you like what you see. Expect more and then some.
Allow artist to send in videos of them spittin and post dem shits on the site. You can even feature up and coming artist….. I remember yall had something like that before but I didnt see anything come out of it. FAT BACKS are classic, you cant do enuff of those.
artists, especially HN readers, are more than welcome to send me some stuff evorgleb at highbrid dot com. Though it hasn’t been promoted. HN will always be a place with the up and comer to get some shine.

Other than what I stated, this is my favorite site. Keep up the excellent work.

I like the idea of showcasing readers. I think thats something we will be doing in the near future.

The Fat Back well wont be drying up anytime soon.
Variety is key. Don’t become one dimensional in anything including Fat Backs. Any debatable news topic should be considered, any top news story should be considered to report. The HibridNation Racial Committee is probably one of my favorite things about visiting this site, I like the diversity of opinions when issues come up. If it’s a slow news day that’s ok, you don’t have to update the site just for update’s sake.
Well we do try to make sure there is something for you guys everyday but some day, like today, I’d rather not force it and post something no one gives a damn about.
And yeh, HN’s readers are the best. I think the comment section has long ago started outshining the actual posts.
what ever you do don’t stop the milk…. i’d say on wednesday (hump day) let me get some butta peacan (hispanic)to get me through the rest of the week…. Chef got all the ingredients, let me see a asian fatback as well… keep the postive black news coming, along with sports, and just simple questions of the week… such as “how do you tell if your lady is cheating?” or do you feel women are more conniving then men…. good work HN, keep it up
