I’ll admit my favorite part of Hip Hop music these days is the conflict…the Beefs.  It keeps artists honest and shows what they can do when put under pressure.  The problem with that however is far too often these beefs have been contrived, part of an backdoor agreement to get us all interested in hopes of driving interest and sales for both parties.  That’s evident by the diminishing quality of diss records in recent years.

But one thing that always entertains is the age old art of the chain snatch.  So it wasn’t just the distinctive chuckle of 50 Cent that you heard when rumors surfaced Rick Ross had his diamond chain stolen by 40 Glocc out in Los Angeles.  Naturally, it didn’t take long before the plea copping was spewed.  In a recent interview Ross denied the rumors saying he wasn’t even in Los Angeles when the alleged incident took place.

“Two fake Twitter gangsters said they robbed me for a chain. There’s too many real niggas in L.A. I see yawl, to even think about letting the fake Twitter thugs fuck the real niggas up.”

Not to be outdone 40 Glocc threw gasoline on the fire with a subsequent Tweet

@40Glocc: “SOMEBODY FROM MIAMI GOT THEY CHAIN SNATCHED OUT IN THE CALI STREETS & THEY TRYIN TO KEEP IT ON THE LOW!! .. LOL.. HURRY UP&BUY BACK!!.BAAAAWS!”

Later in the week, 40 Glocc enlightened his followers futher by elaborating on the incident claiming Ross allegedly bought back his chain to save face.

@40Glocc: “LOL. RAPPERS QUICK 2DO DAMAGE CONTROL AFTER THEY HURRY & BUY THEY SH** BACK B4 IT GET ON THE WIRE! SAME THING LIL WAYNE DID. LOL! #staytuned,”

So it now seems that Ross not only has beef with 50 but 40 as well.  My advice would be for him to stay away from all numerals.  BTW is it not hilarious that alleged chain snatchers engage in an activity known as “tweeting” lol.  Hip Hop these days SMH.
