Posted by Juan

Times Square

You can’t turn on the news without being inundated with more and more details about the “failed” car bombing said to have been masterminded by naturalized Pakastani Faisal Shahzad.

LANCE ORTON

However before we became aware of the suspect or his nationality, media outlets were heralding, Lance Orton, the T-shirt vendor and Duane Jackson a bootleg handbag seller as the ‘heroes’ that alerted a police officer of the smoking SUV in Times Square.

DUANE JACKSON

While the extremely busy section of Manhattan was unusually clogged with tourists given the gorgeous weather, it got me to thinking…was his action characteristic of what most of the Highbrid Nation would have done in the same situation?  SOUND OFF:  Put yourself in Orton or Jackson’s shoes, what would you have done?

Yeah I’d call 911. It don’t hurt to get something like that checked out. You never know who’s life you can save if you don’t take action. KUDOS to those vendors…..but you know ol’ boy hid his knockoff bags before 5-0 showed up! LMAO!

  2. E.L.Diaz says:

I like to think I would have done the same thing.

I think for any New Yorker it would be a natural reaction because they know their city is being targeted by terrorists.
