Black RNC Chair Steele Admits Black Don’t Have a Reason To Vote Republican
This is the marketing equivolent to shooting yourself in the foot
You might accuse Michael Steele of a lot of things but one thing you have to say is he’s honest. Too Honest…to a fault. Last week while speaking at DePaul University last week, the embattled Republican National Committee Chair all but admitted that African Americans don’t have a reason to vote Republicans.
The comment was in response to a question in which he was asked to cite a reason for African Americans to support Republicans.
“You really don’t have a reason to be honest,” Michael Steele responded. We haven’t done a very good job of really giving you one.”
Its these candid comments oh and that thing about spending campaign contributions at the Lesbian bondage strip joint that has incensed his party and caused top figures to openly call for his resignation. However it would seem Steele has more job security than one might thing given the fact that he was appointed as a publicity stunt to try and energize a black Republican base. Though it hasn’t worked out, his termination would do more harm to the party’s image than he could have ever done by sticking around..

I don’t see how they can keep him! Maybe they can talk Condi Rice or Colin Powell into taking the job…if they’re still trying to keep up appearances…but really, is anyone buying their attempt “to try and energize a black Republican base.”?
