[RANT] Is Your Mom A Prostitute? Exacty! None of My F*cking Business
And if Miami Dolphins’ General Manager Jeff Ireland asks? Its none of his F*cking business either.

@datplaymaker1 @NFL
Numerous sports news sources have spent the last day or so reporting on a very odd story that gotten legs following last weekend’s NFL Draft. This is the Highbrid Nation so I don’t need to go into a description of the NFL combine and how it test aspiring talent on their physical abilities. However in addition to the measurements of speed, power, strength and agility, NFL scouts have also placed an increasing importance on the player interview to determine the prospect’s mental fitness.
This interview plays a key role in particular with players that have been labeled with character issues off the field. One such player in this year draft was new Dallas wideout, Dez Bryant. Bryant was suspended for the second-half of last year’s college season due to an NCAA violation stemming from a personal relationship he had with one or several former NFL players. The violation raised character questions and prompted NFL scouts to be extra inquisitive during his interview. However Miami Dolphins General Manager Jeff Ireland, second in command to NFL Legendary coach Bill Parcels overstepped his boundaries when he asked him “Is your mother a prostitute?”
Now if you or I were asked this question the interviewer would undoubtedly sustain an swift ass whopping. However, Bryant’s NFL career rested squarely on his ability to effectively answer these questions and if Ireland was testing his patience Bryant passed with flying colors as he calmly answered the question to which the answer was “no”.
But how could such a thing happen? Granted, FACT: Bryant’s mother is a ex-convicted felon who had him when he was five but how does his MOTHER’S indiscretions play any part in not only Bryant’s ability to play football but his ability to stay clean while doing it? The truth is no self-respecting rich white guy would ask another blue chip WHITE athlete like top pick Rams quarterback Sam Bradford the same question. It just wouldn’t happen but there’s a perception out there that its not uncommon for black children to not only be born of the ghetto but also have drug addicted single mother households where they prostitute to pay the bills.
My real question I’d like to know is what would have happened if Bryant did respond how much of the Nation I’m sure would have hoped he would and blacked Ireland’s eye? Would the NFL scouts say “Oh, he’s a live wire, he’s going to respond negatively when provoked” and immediately drop his draft status or would they do the right thing and instead place the blame squarely on Ireland for asking a question of a black player that he would never want asked of his own child.

Mothers are off limits. No excuses. We all learned that in grade school.
I was talking about this with Ed yesterday. Would it have been out of line if the response from Dez Bryant was: Did your father steal, rape and pillage many lands? No? Well, I’m just asking because your people have a history of doing things like that”?
ummmmmm! I likey I likey. That would have been Classic Sports Network if it went down like that.
I would have asked the question, How many licks does it usually take until your mom gets 2 taste my baby batter Bitch ?!!!That’s what I would have asked the KKKracka!!U never talk about no 1z mother and it being so close 2 mother’s day he was out of pocket. If Dez Bryant would have put hands on his ass and gave him a major ass kicking then I guess he would have just shut the fuck up then.No more questions Mr Bryant thank you.
my right eye sees your left!
He didn’t ask him if his father is a drug dealer?
U know what “Grinds my Gears” (Family Guy reference)! When during a game the sportcasters constantly harp on a player who had a “troubled past” and they air all his dirty laundry and personal family history on National TV. They front like they’re trying to share a success story but it’s really reinforcing negative stereotypes.
what makes it worse is that Skip Bayless tried to justify this question by saying “…you have to understand that these owners and GMs are making multi-million dollar decisions…”. Yea? Really?
This is why there are players who would rather skip the league for more education or becoming a neurosurgeon. I’m sure no one will ask a neurosurgeon that question.
Well its funny you mention that because BLACK Florida State Safety, Myron Rolle slipped beyond his projected 2nd round to the 6th round in the draft because the “experts” deemed him “unfocused” on football because he was awarded the Rhodes Scholarship and graduated in 2 1/2 years and went to study at Oxford. God Forbid. He’s put off Medical School for 15 years oh by the way to go play in the NFL.

this is some straight up bull shit!!!! i would kick this guy’sass all the way to Ireland and back!
ESPN has some video about a debate between the skins former office guy and Marcellus Wiley. Why is Marcellus Wiley defending this foolish sort of questioning and the white man is saying it is wrong? You see…give a black man enough money he will turn his back on his people. Can’t do that with Jews
