Would-Be Obama Assassin, Poised to Behead 14 Blacks Gets 10 Years
Is not the hatred that fuels the many assassination plots built more on jealousy then racism?

Ever since President Obama first surfaced on the national scene as a serious candidate for President, the racist white American contingent has been cleaning their weapons and adjusting their scopes in anticipation of taking a shot. Once that dream became a possibility the reported assassination plots became so many that to report them all would require a blog in and of its own.
But today, the subject of one of the most bizarre such plots is behind bars and has been sentenced to 10 years. Paul Schlesselman and his cronie, Daniel Cowatt, both skinhead, white supremacists devised an elaborate plot to kill 88 African American, behead 14 others culminating with the assassination of then Senator and Presidential candidate Obama.
If your’e asking why 88 and 14, apparently they have some significance to the white supremacist movement.
Maybe I’m naive but there can’t be that much racism in the world for so many people to just not want Obama to succed. I can’t fully grasp it. Its not just about him being black. For me as I see it, its about all those poor white folks who can’t understand how a black man who all their life they’ve been conditioned to see as inferior can succeed beyond their wildest dreams. Is that racism or jealousy? I think jealousy exist more than any racist sentiment in this country. Maybe the Racial Determination Committee can chime in on this one as well.

I dunno Juan…there is a difference between eurocentrism and racism. I expect caucasians to be eurocentric. I am Afrocentric. The difference is that I am not racist. I will not deny or take away anyone elses rights (or life) because of their skin color or ethnicity. However, since this world is controlled by caucasians, the policies they contrive are bound to be racist because they make eurocentric policies that affect the entire population. And, of course, the general population is made up of many different races. Therein lies the problem. Racism has always flowed down from the top. So, when I see caucasians acting racist, it is not a surprise to me….there is another point to be made, but I will wait to read others’ comments.

Without a doubt! just look at the pecking order of things, globally….when was the last time you heard of an African country colonizing an European country? … when the Moors conquered Spain and ruled the Mediterranean for hundreds of years, culminating in Columbus search for a new passageway to India….that dominance ended in 1492. It has been that long…let’s break it down by continent. Africa: colonial powers England, France, Italy, The Netherlands, Portugal, conquered the many different tribes and territories and set up a class/caste system that survives to this day. They exacerbated tensions that existed for hundreds, maybe thousands of years between tribes and thus contributed to the slaughter of hundreds of thousands/millions of Black Africans at the hands of other Black Africans (see Rwanda, Congo, Sudan). Who runs the utilities and big industries in those countries? Multinational corporations based in Europe/US. Let’s not even talk about South Africa…..Latin America: Same thing. With the addition of the US acting as the bully. The US stole Puerto Rico, most of Mexico, and all the Natives’ lands (and then put them in land strange to them, where they could not have their former way of life, living under horrible conditions, drunk). The US has supported and upheld dictators when it suits them and funded gerrillas to overthrow governments as well (as they did in Afghanistan, when the Afghanis were fighting the Soviets and the US funded Osama Bin Laden; they also did it in Iraq, when Saddam Hussein was fighting the Iranians). Also, see Batista in Cuba, Trujillo in the D.R. Somoza in Nicaragua. To “protect US interests”, US marines have set foot all over Latin America and left a trail of blood (and military bases, such as Guantanamo). Who’s interests are they protecting? yours and mine? C’mon! Protecting the fat cats at Goldman Sachs and such. The same ones that we read about rejoicing because they are making money as the economy collapses.
Final point: How many African/Latin American/Asian countries in the “Industrialized World.”?
I guess I see your point. I’m just more conservative about saying its BECAUSE they’re white that they have power. I Think there’s other common threads among those that you mentioned.
I don’t think they have power because they are white. This leads me to the other point I alluded to: White people (whether we like it or admit it or not) have a system. They figured out a long time ago how to rule the rest of the world. They have done it. I asked you a while back if you ever read the Willie Lynch letter. Google it. Then you’ll see what I’m saying.

Juan, you think it’s more jealousy than racism, interesting thought. Call it what you want, but I don’t see jealousy when I hear the “teabaggers” saying N*gger(Obama) go back to Africa. The feeling of hate may start out as jealousy but that same jealousy festers and sooner or later blossoms into racism. It basically boils down to the oppressors inherent need to keep all things outside of “caucasianess” silenced.
I also think it is jealousy. Since its foundation this has been a country run by white men. As the majority it was easy to keep that power in place even as this country became a melting pot. However times are changing. Blacks and latinos arent staying in the places desinated for them (entertainment, sports and low paying blue collar jobs) the biggest example of this is Obama. He truly is the face of change. The status quo has been flipped up side down and its messing with people who feel like for the first time that their place in the world may be challenged by someone who they never considered.
No one thinks of themself a racist. Not even KKK or nazis. you’ll never hear them admit that and thats because they dont belive it. they think they are just looking out for themselves but its amazing the monsters that live in someone when they are theatened.
I think all of you made a good point..You know what really gets under my skin, is when ever I heard these racist basters say..why don’t we go back to Africa, or latins to go back to where ever..I wounder if they ever stop to think that..why don’t THEY take their azzes back europe, you know!
