I’ll be honest, I haven’t heard any of the new music that Shyne put out since being released from prison and deported back to his birthplace of Belize but the word on the street hasn’t been too positive.  So perhaps at the risk of becoming irrelevant, Shyne has been releasing a bunch of new freestlyes over the past week including one sure to generate some buzz if not the intended goal of an all out beef with 50 Cent. 

On his freestyle over Alicia Keys‘ song “Un-Thinkable (I’m Ready),” the rapper who legally changed his government to Moses Michael Leviy takes a swift jab at the G-Unit captain with the line “I need a couple million, fuck 50 Cents.”

The reference rekindles a smoldering beef, years in the making which first surfaced when then incarcerated Shyne denied 50′s offer to join his struggling G-Unit label roster.  As only 50 knows how, he lightheartedly disparaged Shyne in various radio interviews and unreleased freestyle tracks, jabs an increasingly angered Shyne never forgot and vowed to avenge.  The two would later trade blows on Shyne’s Lo-Fi track recorded over the jailhouse phone entitled “For The Record” and 50′s hit single “Piggybank.”  The beef had died down until now when a seemingly desperate Shyne sought to revisit it.

While its unclear if 50 will elect to entertain a response but his G-Unit henchman, Lloyd Banks wasted no time chiming in on the beef during his recent interview with HOT 97′s Miss Info.

“I spoke to Fif today … he just laughed about it,” Banks said. “But I heard some other things that Shyne put out, and I’ll be the first to tell you and the world, he’s very, very wack right now.”“It was something in the food, it was something,” Banks continued referencing how the jail food may have attributed to Shyne’s perceived diminished skills. “He’s a D-class rapper to me right now. You know, the dude that just wakes up and says ‘I’ma rap now?’ What kind of style does he got right now? I’m not diggin’ that. There’s no reason to hate him, I’m doing good. That n**** wack. His whole slang changed up. He’s wack.”
