Assault Charges Dropped Against Two Students, After Video Shows Police Brutality Instead
Two University of Maryland Students charged with assualt on an officer are vindicated after a video surfaces showing a much different story

It is the innate instinct of man to want to cover his tracks after making a fatal error less anyone should find out. All the more dangerous when you give such a morally challenged individual a badge, a gun and free rain to beat the shit out of whoever they please.
University of Maryland students, 21-year-old John McKenna and 19-year-old Ben Donat have been vindicated after they were initially charged with attacking police after a basketball game last month. But all charges were dropped after a video surfaced showing a much different story, one of police brutality. Three officers of the Prince George’s County Police Department have been suspended and are facing a criminal investigation and an internal review after the video (above) show it was the officers not the student who initiated the confrontation and as we know, boy do they know how to end it. People have often equated the police force to that of gang but it is really that unfair of a comparison?
“The video shows the charging documents were nothing more than a cover, a fairy tale they made up to cover for the officers’ misconduct,” Christopher Griffiths, one of the students’ lawyers, told The Washington Post. “The video shows gratuitous violence against a defenseless individual.”
“I’m outraged and disappointed after viewing the video,” Prince George’s County Police Chief Roberto Hylton told the Post. “That’s not the type of professional conduct we promote. Any employee who uses excessive force will be held accountable.”
Promote is the key word here. Of course police don’t PROMOTE their misconduct. They do their dirt on the low and every now and then there’s actually a camera to catch it. As a former resident of Maryland who went to high school literally blocks from the University of Maryland, I can attest to the PG County cops being outta pocket. In all fairness so are many of the citizens hence why my tenure didn’t last long there. Its not an easy landscape to patrol but that’s no excuse. Police officers jobs are simple, TO PROTECT AND SERVE. Its not easy but it is simple. Cops just lose sight of it too easily and because the job can get boring at times the excitement of a crowd can be perceived as rowdy, aggressive when it really isn’t. These cops flew off the handle, which isn’t unusual and instead of saying “My Bad, we fucked up, buzz off,” they chose to take the grimiest of roads and cover up their stupidity by placing the blame on the VICTIM! While I clearly have no love lost for cops this type of incident should just boil the blood of just about everyone. I will say this however is the first such case I can remember with at WHITE victim.

We are the 1st 2 fight each other but when u getting your ass kicked by KKKops u have no fight in u .
What can we do as a Highbrid Nation to combat that. What type of effort should we organize? I’m all for it just tell me what I can do to facilitate it.
Co sign Mr Juan, KKKop brutality is a major issue that seems 2 only happens to Hispanic Black or just minorities in General .I don’t know bout u scary asses who are just concerned with When Lil Wayne is getting out the Pen or has the biggest ass out of Cheerokee or Delishus but it’s time 4 us to untuck our tails.
I’m dee. Lets brainstorm some ideas. How do organize an online demonstration? Write 1 Million emails to congress? Could we topple an email server by having the Nation all send an email at once just to prove a point? We need some impact. Something that’s going to get attention. Lemme think on this. I’m with you thought…Don’t let me drop the ball on this. Hold my feet to the fire.
Man, I’m so tired of this kind of talk! I’ve been a part of so many different movements, beating the pavement, organizing town hall meetings, posting/passing out flyers, knocking on doors, standing on street corners talking to everyone walking by, emailing, writing congress/senate, local and state officials….

In the end you’re right as representative of what gets the most attention on our site. Does it mean people don’t care? No, they’re just too lazy to follow through. I’m down to put in the work if I know people got my back though!
