SOUND OFF: Be Honest. You were Watching Tiger at the Masters Weren’t You?

If so you’re not alone. Masters Ratings Increase by 50 Percent

Tiger Woods

If you’re feeling guilty for realizing you only watch golf because of Tiger Woods then you’re not alone.  According to Neielsen ratings ESPN’s coverage of the Masters’ first round on Thursday drew 4.9 million viewers – the highest U.S. audience ever for a golf event on cable television.  That means more than 50 percent more viewers than last year’s first round and 80 percent more than a year earlier.

So whatever you reason whether it be to see him melt under the pressure in the wake of his sex scandal, to support him or perhaps just because you like watching him golf, there’s no question that Tiger is good for the sport and the PGA needed him back…badly.  SOUND OFF: Are you watching?  If so why?

I ONLY watch golf when Tiger is on. I NEVER watched golf before Tiger and didn’t watch it the last few months or when he was out rehabbing his knee. I could care less about all that other crap that is going on. I want to see the best doing what he does best (and that ain’t running around with porn stars and waitresses).

  2. Jamison says:

I’m watching Tiger right now, wondering if he could win this shit. Not looking good though.

  3. Mr. Bad Guy says:

Nope, I watch the “highlights” on the news.

  4. macika says:

yea, i watched him do this thing. wasnt too bad. a lil rusty but he WILL return to his form soon enuff. then itll be him back to winning again

  5. skinnygirluver says:

Yup, I watched because Tiger was playing. I really don’t like or trust the news and sports media in our country right now. It’s too competitive and there is a lot of exaggeration, so I like to see things for myself so I can make my own judgements. Nothing crazy happened and he didn’t win but the media made it sound like he sucked and being tied for 4th under any circumstances in a major golf tournament is still a good result.

  6. B.E.B. says:

yeah i watched most of it and i don’t even care for golf. did any of yall hear somebody in the background get at tiger when he had a bad shot? somebody said “come on tiger! god!” lmao! white folks love this blasian nicca!!! lol
