SOUND OFF: What Do You Think Of A Pro Wrestler, Orlando Jordan, Having A Bisexual Gimmick
And you thought wrestling was already pretty gay

I’ve been watching wrestling for along time. Along with shooting guns and camping, its one of those past times that I enjoy that make me think that some of my ansestors may have come across the border from West Virginia. Yes, I know prowrestling is very fixed and to some extent “fake”, I enjoy it anyway. I like the athleticism and violence (same reasons I watch mixed martial arts and boxing). However even I have to admit that to greased up grown men rolling around in there underwear can seem a bit… gay. Wrestling promoters are well aware of this and since its inception there have been many flamboyant and arrogant characters that have been created to play off the homosexual undertones of professional wrestling. Yet there has never ever been a wrestler who just comes out and says they are gay. Its like they walk the line but never jump over it. Well, except Orlando Jordan.
Jordan first started off in the WWE where no aspect of his character was something someone might call “gay”. He was just a regular jobber as they say. Then he was outed when he was fired because his “male friend” was causing trouble in the locker room. Now Jordan is in TNA and has a new gimmich where he is openly bisexual. He even comes down to the ring with a male and female valet (the male one being the same guy who got him fired from WWE) with a wardrobe in line with Lady Gaga’s.
So check out the video below and Sound Off. Does it matter. Would you let your kids watch knowing he was on the show? Is it about time for wrestler to rep for the gay and lesbian crowd? Or better yet, if your were a prowrestler, would you be okay with wrestling him if told to do so?

Considering that I don’t have kids yet…and the last time I watched WWE was when it was WWF…….IT STILL BOTHERS ME!
I remember Brett & Owen Hart…Razor Ramon…The Undertaker (isn’t he still wrestling? lol)…Sgt. Slaughter…Mr. Perfect…Yokozuna…Ric Flair…Macho Man…Shawn Michaels(he was gay enough)…I couldn’t imagine growing up watchin this $hit…smh.

I think that entrance took it a bit too far, maybe if he was like a normal wrestler who happened to be bi that would be ok but the entrance took it way too far.
I’m a part of the gay community and I USED to like wrestling(it just got corny and I’m not a fan of some of the new wrestlers). BUT considering that I have a son that likes wrestling and he picks up on the moves and the entrances quickly; I’d have to say I don’t approve of this. If my son tells me he is gay later in life of course I would be understanding…hell I’m bi…BUT I want it to be something that he finds out for himself on his own. I don’t like how some media portray gay people and how they throw it in kid’s face!! I see girls in the club getting drunk and dancing on each other and looking at men for their approval. Its almost like bi is the cool thing to be now SMH its sad really. I feel that it a personal reflection that one should have if their mind and heart lead them there. I will not be allowing my son to watch TNA anymore. He’s gonna have enough problems being a black man in America. I don’t need that same American society throwing homosexuality in his face(at this young age) telling him its OK to just try to crucify him about it later. If he finds he is gay(which as a bi person who would know I could assure you he is not lol) later thats fine BUT he doesn’t need things like this in his face persuading him in a way he’s not meant to go!
