Tyler Perry Spits Subtle Venon On Rival Spike Lee during NAACP Award Speech

Over the past few years, radical Director Spike Lee has fired shots at Tyler Perry‘s success accusing him of building an empire based on the “coonery” of his black comedy empire. While Tyler Perry has chosen to take the high road for much of the conflict, he did however issue this subtle diss across the bow to his rival. Peep how he pauses for the audience to finish clapping as he delivers the honey dipped dagger.

I really don’t understand how “WE” White Entertainment which is all we are when we do this BS. White people love 2 see beefing among us in “Anything” we do. Hey Spike how about u “Do The Right Thing”and make some more movies 1st of all. I enjoy both of these directors movies , I am more of a Spike lee fan because his movies are more political and so called Politial and controversial. We need more directors than just a handful so let’s support all of them please.We can think outside the Box and make Avatar like movies OOpps that has been done already by Alex Haley called ROOTS.Congrats Mr.Perry keep em coming . We need 2 peep how whites do sometimes . Like the commercial says “U could learn alot from a dummy”.
I dont think it was a diss more a play on words. Bottom Line is this if theres no Melvin Van Peebles there’s no Spike Lee if there’s no Spike Lee there’s no Tyler Perry and the game evolves and goes on.

U r so correct in your statement 4pl.I would love 2 c a flood of Black directors as well as females get down behind the Kodak . I mean we have only focused on a few over the past 35 to 40 yrs of blacks in cinenma . The mainstream chooses a few to focus on in the 70′s we had Gordon Parks, Melvin Van Peeples during the blaxploitation era.late 70′s 80′s we had ,Michael Shultz(Krush Groove remember that movie?)Then Spike Lee came and put a foot in the man’s ass.Malcolm X is still a classsic. Robert Townsend and what he did with Hollywood Shuffle is still a true to life film about how blacks r treated in Hollyweird ala Rush Limbaugh style .The 90′s came with John Singleton’s Boyz n the Hood. The Hughes Brothers with Menace to Society, Dead Pres. Eric Dickerson Juice , McHenry/Douglas.I think u get my point which is we need to do what Mr.Perry is doing u don’t need Hollyweird do get yours on . We need more stories, more directors, of all colors Asian, Latino/Hispanic as well.
