SOUND OFF: Shyne Signs Deal w/ Def Jam But Will He Still Have It?
After signing a seven figure deal with Def Jam following his release from prison & exile, critics wonder what Shyne 2.0 will have in store
You don’t have to step foot on American soil to make an impact on her music scene, at least that’s what Def Jam executives are hoping after they signed the exiled rapper, Shyne to a reported 7 figure recording deal. Though the rapper was released from prison following his extensive weapons conviction, he was promptly deported to Belize where he was born but quickly moved.
Much has changed in America since 2000 when Shyne last released an album. And while he has been reported to have working hard in the studio, no one really knows if Shyne 2.o can survive the hip hop music scene in 2010. With a new religious faith in Judiasm combined with his experiences in prison, Shyne will likely address new topics than he did on his last release. So, SOUND OFF: Do you think Shyne can still be relevant in today’s music scene?

In my book shyne is a beast… but time has changed since his flow was hot.. real rap is dead, not cause its not being made, but people don’t want to hear it… they like new boyz & stanky leg.. shit like that makes me hate how the game has changed… i still bump my old albums… like i said tho SHyne is a monster.. i bet he got some real things to speak about (diddy)…..
Shyne should be able to jump right back in the thick of things if he can get the right beat, jeezy is so gangsta cause he got the hardest beats. ross shines like the sun cause he can match any beat, shyne get with the right folks he can comeback cause its on bout 7 rappers that can actually rap, weezy-jeezy-kanyeezy-ross-t.i.p.-the game- and big homie jigga. any questions

I think he will try but he will nit be able to go into great detail with it but i could be wrong….i still hope he goes after puffy for putting his ass in jail in the first place…but you never know jail changes a lot of people that go into there…..but shyne was koo…well when i was little he was…
