Snoop Dogg, Darth Vadar March on Times Square Promoting New Adidas Line

Posted by Juan

No buildings to be crushed this time, only cloths to be sold

Snoop

A couple of weeks back I dropped this video on the Nation from a new Adidas commercial featuring what appeared to be Snoop Dogg squaring off against Darth Vadar.  While the ad was incredibly entertaining set to we were all totally confused as to what was going on and what Adidas was up to.  However, it appears we’re finally getting some answers.

According to Rap-Up.com, Snoop was in New York yesterday (Thursday) and this time he wasn’t crushing buildings.  Instead the rapper marched through Times Square flanked by Darth Vader, R2-D2 and protective army of stormtroopers in promotion of Adidas new colaboration with Lucafilm LTD on Star Wars collection.

The collection which we’re guessing spells the end to Lucasfilm’s relationship with Ecko is available now as part of Adidas Spring/Summer 2010 collection.  According to a press release the line which will include footwear, apparel and accesories for men and women is said to “fuse iconic Star Wars characters and scenes with classic Adidas Originals footwear and apparel silhouettes.”
