SOUND OFF: Thoughts on President Obama’s First Year in Office

Ok its a year later (and a few days) since half of black American did got their Million Man March on down at the National Mall to witness history as The United States of America inaugurated its first black President. Well the nostalgia has long worn off and the honeymoon faded. Left now is a plate full of Health Care debates, wars in Afghanistan, a ferocious opposition party, earthquakes in Haiti, and even party crashers. So taking all factors into account and grading him on his merit and not his skin color how has Mr. President done in your eyes based on the EXPECTATION. SOUND OFF!

My expectations have been met. I never expected him to wave a magic wand and all the country’s troubles would disappear. I knew that once he got on the job, he would not be able to do some of the things he said he would do. He just can’t. They (Republicans, lobbyists, etc) won’t let certain reforms happen (for different reasons). He (and any president) who tries to make a significant change in how “the system” works, would be murdered by those who don’t want change.
And after yesterdays Supreme Court decision, the window for change has been slammed shut.

From now on, the citizen no longer matters and all candidates will be bought and paid for (even more than they already are, that is)

Pres. Obama has done a pretty good job considering now I don’t agree with every issue but look who he came after Pres Bitch.

To Hurricaine Katrina to 9/11, Iraq War to the Space shuttle blowing up in 86 to Watergate 2 the Kennedy Assassination. No racism is not going away because he is in office or end police brutality or solving the economy problems but damn he has just been in a year Pres.
