Michelle Williams Finally Dumps Former Manager, Matthew Knowles
Beyonce remains the lone Destiny’s Child alumn under Knowles managemnt. Some thing tells me that suits him just fine.
Former Destiny’s Child, Michelle Williams has followed in the footsteps of many before her and released a statement announcing she has fired her longtime manager, Matthew Knowles “after much prayer and consideration.” Knowles is of course still the manager of his daughter Beyonce’s career who remains the lone remaining member from the group to do so.
“From my time in Destiny’s Child to my solo career, I am grateful for everything Mathew and his team has done for me,” Williams stated. “We’ve shared great success together. However, as I move in a new direction in my career, I felt it was time. I wish Mathew Knowles and the Music World Entertainment family all the best.”
Am I having a bit of deja vous or did Michelle Williams just recycle the same press release her former Destiny’s Child groupmate, Kelly Rowland put out almost a year ago to the day? Perhaps this will however be good for her career. Often overshadowed by Kelly, Beyonce and the drama left in the wake of the groups other long-departed founding members, this move may allow Michelle to finally branch out on her own and establish her own solo roots.
