The absolutely gorgeous Alicia Keys has been hard at work on the promo circuit in support of her new album “The Element of Freedom,” which dropped Tuesday. However her stop at Comedy Central‘s “The Colbert Report” is the one appearance that will have people talking for years.
During her performance of “Empire State of Mind” a song of course traditionally performed in duet with Jay-Z, host Stephen Colbert surprised the crowd in a stereotypical hoodie and spit his own rendition of Jay-Z rap verse.
Unlike most Jigga’s detail of the more urban hot spots Colbert focused on life next to the Guggenheim Museum before moving to Connecticut and living the among the upper middle class. Great stuff.
