50 Cent Embarks on Insane Promo Tour For New ‘Self Destruct’ Album
The hardest working man in Hip Hop revs up the Buzz Machine to promote new album
You can say a lot of things about 50 Cent but there’s one thing NO ONE will accuse him of and that’s being lazy. Its his tenacity and tireless effort that his produced not only his music career but molded him into the savvy business man that sports quite the impressive portfolio.
But this week its all about his new album, Before I Self Destruct. The Queens native is up against a very difficult challenge as he, his label Shady/Aftermath/Interscope and his management team at Violator have been working hard to combat widely leaked bootleg on the internet.
But challenge is Curtis’ middle name. To promote his project he’ll make TV appearences tonight on “The Tonight Show With Conan O’Brien” tomorrow on “Jimmy Kimmel Live”, Thursday on “Chelsea Lately” and BET’s “106 & Park” rounding the work week off with a more serious conversation with “Tavis Smiley” on Friday. He will also make an appearance at the “American Music Awards.” As well as two more back to back return trips to BET’s 106 & Park on 11/23 and 11/24. And those are just the appearances we know about.
Lets get this straight. 50 can’t sit still. If he’s not sleeping, he’s out making money and that’s an excellent role model whether you believe in his background or not.
If that’s not enough, 50 has teamed up with BET yet again to play Santa Claus for single mothers during the holiday season as part of “50′s Money For Moms” contest. Contestants will send in a 200 word essay (clearly BET’s idea) on why she or their nominee deserves to win one of three grand prizes of $10,000 each from 50 Cent.
