If you were watching CNBC this morning to witness the opening of the Stock Exchange you might have tried to adjust your set.  No…what you saw was correct.  Snoop Dogg rang the opening bell.  It was all part of the 2nd annual “Mentoring Madness” event in celebration of Global Entrepreneurship Week which encourages folks to get involved in youth mentoring and entrepreneurship.  Snoop was flanked by TOMS Shoes Founder and Chief Shoe Giver Blake Mycoskie (look him up, very interesting story).  The event was hosted by CNBC’s Maria Bartiromo.

It’s nothing but a PR ploy. They’ve even let Ashanti do it. It’s like when Google changes its logo to honor a holiday that nobody cares about.
