Is Alicia Keys Looking A Little White on Her Uptown Magazine Cover?
If I didn’t know who she was, I’d assume she was white here.
Apparently white is the new black because lately corporate America has been trying hard to make our beautiful melanin filled skin tones look a bit more Caucasian persuasive. Still others don’t need any help and actually do it to themselves. While it may be in attempt to appeal to their largely more dominant white audiences there are certainly some ethical concerns. Perhaps its just the shot and given Alicia Keys being of mixed decent its not surprising but she does look a little pale in the photo especially for a fashion magazine cover.

Ok, this is for all the light-skin people to comment on. Don’t we all lose some color during the winter and gain color in the summer. Maybe she’s a light-brite right now. Plus she is half-white.

Unlike Sammy Sosa her skin has always been this color. Alicia could be green with polka dots and I’d still SMASH it. Her moms is of the caucasian persuasian and it’s winter, I’ll give em the benefit of the doubt.
