Radio personality, Charlamagne Tha God was fired yesterday from his post at Philadelphia radio station 100.3 The Beat.

The one time sidekick to legendary gossip radio host, Wendy Williams took to Twitter to share the news with his followers.

cthagod:  I just got fired from 100.3 The Beat in Philly. Salute to Philly I hope you all enjoyed me the past 6 months.

cthagod: #cthagodgotfired cause 100.3 The Beat said they want to move in a different direction. God bless them. Thanks for the past 6 months.

Some have speculated that his firing was devious backdoor magic of Jay-Z in response to a recent interview Charlamagne conducted with Beanie Sigel where he explained his beef with Jigga.  Although we won’t necessarily buy into this conspiracy theory there may be some merit to it.

Despite the obviously crushing blow to his radio career which was starting to gain national notoriety, Charlamagne kept with his comical self and shared some light hearted Tweets concerning his firing.
