‘Racist’ Pics Posted To RNC Facebook Page for nearly a week
We ask the Racial Determination Committee to convene for comment
If you’re a fan of political debate you’ve probably been in all your glory recently as both major political parties and their more radical backers have engaged in a marathon slugfest. Each digging deeper and deeper for material in which to hammer the other in the lastest round of mudslinging.
The latest? Obama supporters outraged by a fan-posted photo on The Republican National Committee’s Facebook page showing President Obama eating fried chicken with the slogan, “Miscegenation Is a CRIME against American values… Repeal Loving v. Virginia.”
Although the photo and commentary posted by user “Gee Dub” was removed it reportedly was live for 6 days before being zapped. The accompanying slogan references the civil rights case Loving v. Virginia in which the Supreme Court ruled that prohibiting interracial marriage violates the Constitution. The photo appears to reference a recent controversy over a Louisiana judge who ruled that against issuing a marriage license to an interracial couple.
“Gee Dub” who at least presents himself as a black man comments
“Racism is necessary in our capitalistic system. To subject ourselves to the socialist ideal of equality will surely destroy the American way of life. As a black man, racism has served as a great inspiration for me to work harder. God bless the Republican Party and God bless America.”
Sunday night, members of the liberal news forum Democratic Underground spotted and subsequently launched a discussion about the photo.
“That’s blatant f—ing racism, against Facebook rules and basic human decency,” one upset commenter stated.
The photo was removed Monday night. The RNC has yet to comment. However the post wasn’t the first of a controversial nature supplied by “Gee Dub.” He also published this photo of Mother Teresa feeding a hungry child with the caption:
“Enabling scab-eating mouth breathers will do them no good. How do we expect them to take care of themselves?”
Lastly he was said to be responsible for this photo which appears to show former presidential candidate John Kerry with a rifle pointed at his head. As you can see the gun isn’t in fact pointed at Kerry but instead several feet away but just framed to look so. All three photos were removed.
I guess when you position your political statement by being intentionally racist that extinguishes any argument as to if the display indeed is racist. I mean after all being angry when black people are associated with chicken is so played out. I love chicken and hate watermelon so does my white homeboy, that’s personal and perhaps cultural preference not racism.
However, I do have to question given the “Gee Dub” moniker. I’m not so sure the display wasn’t posted by someone posing as something they’re not in effort to insight controversy. Honestly, I don’t disagree with the basic premise of his arguments they’re logical and debatable but clearly framed inappropriately. What do you think?

He’s just taking a shot at Obama just like other people have. You’re right Juan, the whole “black people like chicken” is played out. I’m hispanic and I love chicken too, but I also love Tacos! LOL…I think Obama should do a little switcheroo on these Republican cats and actually embrace it. I can already hear him now….”Yeah I like chicken, so what? I’m the President. I’m the sh*t and you’re just poop stains!”
“Racism is necessary in our capitalistic system. To subject ourselves to the socialist ideal of equality will surely destroy the American way of life. As a black man, racism has served as a great inspiration for me to work harder.” WTF is that???!!!
Suuuure it’s great….for the people on top, A*hole!!! This crap had to be written by a white person. I don’t think a black person can be this ignorant (or he got PAID!).
would i be wrong for understanding where he’s coming from though?
there have been many times where i SMH at you Juan cause I’m like “really thats how he feel”. BUT this time i agree!! I feel like this country is only as strong as it is because of our struggle…and racism is aprt of that struggle. Do I feel like its necessary per se`…NO, but I do feel like it has made us as a country and as a people stronger. I don’t agree with how he was trying to get his message across, but I do see the message. It was in poor taste no doubt but who ever he is has forced the people that saw his displays to think, discuss, and wake up to certain issues. Thanks for this post Juan cause me and my sister are discussing this now and its a good discussion!
That’s what we’re here for. The Highbrid Nation is just the barbershop where the convo kicks off…its up to the Nation to keep it going.
.
I think if more people actually thought about it they’d understand what he’s saying. Is it self hate if dude indeed is black yes but the statements are so profound it might just be the wake up call our “Leaders” been dishing for generations just positioned differently.
I couldn’t disagree with the two of you more. Trials and tribulations can bring the best out of people…or the worst. Racism breeds hatred and murder. Dehumanizing entire races of people for over 400 years (first the natives), is worse than “just” killing them. Fast forward to today, the madness that is going on in our communities is the direct result of racism (European colonialism of Africa and America was based on economics and race) . Almost everything we complain about, crime, drugs, unemployment, relationship problems, single mothers raising 3-4 children by 3-4 different fathers, is a direct result of our dysfunctions and pathologies, which are directly related to our experiences.
This is not kid stuff stuff I’m talking about, “Becky’s dad doesn’t want her dating a n*gga.” This is the systemic use of power and a pecking order based on race. That continues today…all over the world!
We bear the responsibility to help oursevelves and stop acting like victims all the time. There are too many examples of success out there (starting with our president). However, that doesn’t diminish the fact that racism has and continues to play a major role in society. To the extent that I allow it.
I think you’re agreeing with us. Racism isn’t a rumor. Its a fact. All people have prejudice. Racism contrary to popular notion is not going to be eradicated. Its an innate behavior for humans to have prejudice and the first thing we learn as babies is the difference in hue so it has become a fundamental difference upon which we base our core prejudice. Good or bad.
.
As you’ve stated we can’t continue to be victims. I think that’s what GEE DUB is saying. Too often we accept our fate as inferior. While all men might be created equal…the moment we’re born we’re entitled to all different levels yes often as product of racism. But WHAT’S THE ALTERNATIVE! Take control. Some of us need to work harder than others. That’s life. Playing the victim get you no where.
I can agree with that statement, but not with
“Racism is necessary in our capitalistic system. To subject ourselves to the socialist ideal of equality will surely destroy the American way of life.” The “American Way of Life” is based on racism. It means holding some down (by any means necessary) in order for others to be up. According to that writer, this is good. Not so. And, anyone that needs racism as a motivator to do better in life…is destined to be a loser.
I can dig that. I think if you agree we live in a capitalistic society then you must believe that racism is necessary. Its a byproduct of capitalism I believe. Wrong or right. I think he’s more so stating fact than infusing an opinion.
.
I’m going to disagree with you with regard to racism as a proper motivator. I think anyone whose experienced racism and has gone on to be successful has been motivated by it and will even speak to in in their success story. I think anyone who CAN NOT be motivated by racism is the pure DEFINITION of a loser.
Agreed. I have also been motivated by racism. My point is that this alone cannot be my motivator…..
As I’ve disclosed before, I am in the substance abuse field. There are necessary and/or sufficent conditions to be an addict. Alcohol is necessary to be an alcoholic, but not sufficient. Otherwise, everyone who consumes alcohol would be an alcoholic, right? Thus, there are other elements that come into play. The same for capitalism. Racism is a byproduct of capitalism, thus capitalism is sufficient, but not necessary. Otherwise ALL aspects of capitalism would HAVE to be infused with racism. Are they?
If a=b and b=c…I get it. I see your point. Its not the sole factor you’re right. But its those other factors or “triggers” that are most dangerous. Like ciggaretts. Nicotine isn’t harmful its just what makes users addicted to the ciggaretts which contain the harmful chemicals.
However, we have to be careful when we use the analogy of substance abuse. Substance abuse is a disease. Its triggered neurologically and perpetuated or encouraged by one’s surroundings.
.
Racism is ignorance. People are racist or prejudice, speaking in broader terms, because they have fundamental ignorance about a social sector or group. That’s curable through education. As a society it can’t be eradicated but on an individual basis it can.
.
As for addicts, they’re addicts for life. You’re ALWAYS a drug addict or alcoholic. You can’t be cured and have a few drinks even though you now understand the neurological and environmental triggers.
.
I say this to mean we need to embrace racism as FACT! We can’t be shocked when it sprouts. That’s why I always say I respect an outward racist far more than a closet fringe racist. You know where they stand. But by using eduction and knowledge of self we’re able to use it as motivation for a higher elevation.
Absolutely. That’s another hot-button topic right there: the disease concept. Doing what I do, for as long as I’ve done it, I definetely get it. Good words, Juan!
It is hard to say, but just by the nature of the posts and the obvious “Gee Dub” being a reference to Bush, this could easily be a plant to stir up controversy. Either way, it’s a distasteful way of stimulating debate.
It was a plant. I didn’t do it to stir up controversy. I did it to make people who hate racism to see what the republican party are all about. We must be aware that not all racists are republican but all republicans are racist. I know, supreme court cases cannot be repealed; they get over-turned.
