Diddy Holds 106 & Park Audience Hostage As He Searches For Diamond Ring
In a self imposed Diva tantrum, Diddy sacrifices fans for what amounts to pocket change
Did you hear about how Diddy went Diva over some jewelry a taping of BET’s “106 & Park” show on Friday? Crazy! The New York Post had an article over the weekend that Diddy imprisoned the ENTIRE show’s studio when he discovered his diamond ring went missing during an appearance.
Coming off the finale of his MTV “Making HIS Band” reality show, Diddy attempted to keep the momentum going for his forthcoming “Last Train To Paris” album as he and his Dirty Money group (Dawn Richard from Danity Kane and Kalenna) invaded BET’s “106 & Park.”
The $20,000 ring reportedly went missing as it flew off his finger as Diddy decided to “make it rain” on the audience during his grand entrance. Since the show was live. Diddy couldn’t exactly stop the live taping to search for the lost jewelry. However when the show wrapped, he apparently ordered the ENTIRE building be shut down and no one let out until they had been searched.
Angry audience members took to Twitter to express their displeasure with the inconvenience. Needless to say, that didn’t go over too well with the audience. Some of them took to Twitter to express their anger at their treatment.
Here’s the thing…If you have enough dough to “make it rain” cash on a studio audience please get your panties in a bunch when the dough or your ring goes missing. I mean isn’t Diddy’s whole persona about being paid? I can understand if the ring had some type of sentimental value but if it did then perhaps it should have either been re-sized or in a jewelry box some where or better yet a safe deposit box.
In his Twitter post about the incident Diddy said: “The craziest s**t just happened to me … I guess it’s s**ting on me season … Enjoy it while it lasts! life is crazy!”
Its amazing to me how little common sense, the seemingly most brilliant minds in a particular industry often have. Kanye displays it often and here Diddy pissed off the exact base that he was trying to get excited about his album. All over a $20,000 ring. It might seem like a lot to you and me, but its a one night bar tab for Diddy. My guess is his album AND more importantly to his sick twisted priorities, his Twitter following will suffer.

I jus’ think that Diddy’s been given way too much power. They didn’t have to shut the studio down just because he asked them to. I bet that if a “plain man” like me had asked them to shut the studio down, they wouldn’t have done it. He jus’ got his way because he’s rich. PEACE!!!
Great point. Maybe he was exercising his power more than actually missing his jewelry.
Plain Man wouldn’t have on a 20k ring. What’s the point of power if you cant throw ur wait around every once in a while. I dont care how much money you have or claim to have losing an Item worth 20k is worth shutting down 106 and park. If he had said eff it. Y’all would be blasting him today about showing off and throwing money away.
I know that a “plain man” wouldn’t have a $20K ring, but Diddy shouldn’t have been given the power to hold that entire audience hostage because of a mistake that HE made. How would you have felt if you were in that audience? PEACE!!!
Dude is corny, period!!!!
Bitchassness on his part. Take the lost
