Fabolous Clarifies 50 Cent Tweets, Says its Not Beef 2.0 But Means It Is.

Posted by Juan

But asks if he’s wrong for questioning “someone as opinionated as 50 has been thru his career on any & everything/one?”

Fab

As we reported earlier in the week Fabolous seemed a little bit miffed about not performing at fellow New York rapper, 50 Cent’s 50 Fest and seemed to blame him in part for New York rap recession.

Not the one to hold any punches, 50 fired back as expected posted a retort on his website, thisis50.com.

“Reading what Fab said about me on Twitter was disappointing. I have extended myself to Fab personally to allow him to expand himself as an international Touring Artist. I thought we were Friends but that’s cool.”

Perhaps seeing the error in his ways or realizing how his comments could be taken out of context, Fab took to the Tweetways yet again to politic with followers (such a great word) about his recent comments that appeared to be critical of fif.

MyFabolouslife: Woke up 2 see my twitter topic of discussion bout da 50 Cent concert was taken out of context. Made what i said look like im hatin or dissin

MyFabolouslife: Def wasnt hatin.. I said if anything it was a good show 4 NY.. And i was invited 2 perform too, BUT i had my own show 2 do at Lincoln U.

MyFabolouslife: And i wasnt dissin 50 either, my opionon was brought on by the history of the 50 Cent’s hip hop career..

MyFabolouslife: 50 Cent responded to my tweets sayin “he was disappointed & thought we were friends”.. But i dont think i said anything bashing him..

MyFabolouslife: I actually tip my hat 2 50 4 all he has done, but n his help 2 the city theres been some hurt 2 the city.. & i dont/didnt blame him entirely

MyFabolouslife: I retweeted yall perspectives on da 50 concert, good or bad..Not only my views.. So im not against him, jus was unusual 2 c this new unity

MyFabolouslife: So im wrong 4 my opinion? Even to someone as opinionated as 50 has been thru his career on any & everything/one..

MyFabolouslife: & blogs & comment leavers r a part of the sensitivity in discussion.. They want everything to b a beef.. guess, u play in dirt, u get dirty.

MyFabolouslife: And im not apologizin’ for my opinion.. Jus explaining my comments that were taken out of context.. Peace my twiggas!!

Wow…there’s a lot there.  I’m not going to front, this lil rant more than the last seemed to get at 50 more directly. You can tell from the tone that Fab is ticked.  He’s right!  Everyone praises 50 for spewing venom at every turn but when Fab shares his opinion good and more importantly bad about the 50 fest…he’s being sensitive.  I can see his point.  Its kind of like 50 gets a pass because he’s a loose cannon and people still love him but Fab’s gotta remember that’s part of his as the Jews say shtick or part of the act/persona.

Fab’s comments have a lot of validity but would be more impactful if he wasn’t so wavering.  He’s like I wasn’t bashing, but I’m saying that WAS wack.  Oh yeah and I’m not apologizing, just explaining.  What is that?  When you have a powerful statement it shouldn’t be clouded by uncertainty.  He’s right 50′s built his career on the backs of being critical.  Fab should be allowed to be critical of him.  The difference is, 50 doesn’t care about consequence.  He’s the new Suge in that sense… but even Suge eventually got K.O.’d.

This is what’s great about Twitter.  It gives us all access to celebrities, entertainers and athletes but removes the middleman publicists that buffer and censor their stream of consciousness.  Twitter gives us a window into what they’re really thinking.  A great thing for fans and bloggers but a powder keg of controversy for the famous.

This is the world we live in people have to tweet retractions about their tweets lol. I’m not on twitter so pardon me for what might be a sign of ignorance; but do people really call their followers “my twiggas”?
