Welcome Home Shyne! Top 10 Things He Missed Since He’s Been Gone

Posted by Juan

After 8 years dude has missed a lot.

Shyne

Can you believe its been over eight years since Shyne swallowed the bid for Diddy was convicted and jailed on charges of reckless endangerment and gun possession charges for an incident that occurred in December 1999.  Well he was finally released earlier today.

Now 30 years old, Shyne has been gone for almost a decade and will spend time getting adjusted to life on the outside. Here’s a brief look at some of what he’s missed.

1. For the first time he’ll be able to actually make a call using a blackberry or other smart phone.

2. I think its safe to say Shyne has never watched television on a Flat Panel Television (unless they’ve upgraded in Clinton and Woodburne Correctional) and he’s probably never watch TV in HD.

3. The iPod was invented On July 24, 2000 so its safe to say Shine has never heard his own music on one let alone used iTunes or an iPhone for that matter

4. Shyne will likely have to dig deep in those pockets when filling up the tank because when he went in the average price of a gallon of gas was $1.13…that is unless he chooses to drive a Hybrid which, oh by the way he’s never seen before either.

5. Its pretty safe to say Shyne has never shared one of his music videos on YouTube or been on MySpace, Facebook and definately has never Tweeted.  I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s never used email before.

6. When Shyne went in you might remember him rocking the oversized flat brimmed fitteds to court.  Well he’ll have to get used to the fact the everyone stole his style and most of them can’t remember where they got it from.

7. As crazy as it sounds, during his incarceration Shyne’s Pops became the Prime Minister of Belize…seriously!

8. Since he’s went in we’ve lost the likes of Aliyah, Jam Master Jay, Michael Jackson, Proof, The Source Magazine (the real one), King Magazine and well if you ask Nas…HIP HOP!

9. While Shyne was probably rocking a DVD player at the crib, chances are it probably cost him over $300 when he bought it.  He’s certainly never watched the Sopranos on DVD or Entorage for that matter.  Hell…someone will have to show him how to use TiVo.

10. And lastly he’ll have to get accustomed as we all have by now to seeing the New York City skyline minus the Twin Tower of the World Trade Center.

Welcome home Shyne we missed you.  Welcome to the Nation.

  2. Lol great post, it’s going to be a definite culture shock…especially the iPod point, cause that has changes music..

Another point would be him getting use to rappers not making those platinum numbers anymore…

I remember when I came home after only being gone for 2 1/2 years. It scared the SHIT out of me the first time I heard a phone ring!!! lol Sounds crazy I know, but you forget about stuff like that. Ain’t no ringing phones in jail! Then I went to the bathroom and it threw me off when I flushed the toilet and and the tank started making noise as it refilled. *hehehe* So I KNOW a whole LOT of things HE is going to have to adjust too. Best of luck to dude though.
