BONEHEAD: Method Man Locked Up, Owes $32K in Back Taxes
Did Meth thing rappers are exempt or did he think he was the only one the tax man WOULDN’T find?
Method Man turned himself in to the Staten Island (Shaolin) DA’s office Monday morning after a warrant was issued in connection with felony charges of neglecting to pay $32,799 in taxes dating back to 2004. SOURCE: the New York Post
Authorities said the rapper, who lives on Staten Island, had failed to pay taxes for three years.
I don’t know anything about Method Man’s finances but I know he’s in a better situation from an income standpoint than I am. I just don’t get why you can’t hire someone to make sure this is taken care of, they have these things now their called accountants that can help with that sort of thing. EVERYONE pays taxes. Even the drug cartel has to pay taxes to keep the authorities out their business. When you get to the point where you’re getting arrested for tax negligence you look real stupid.
Ahhhh I know what the problem is. Meth thinks he can hide from the tax man just like he attempts to hide from journalist in this video as he exits the courthouse in that loud-ass leather jacket following his arraignment.
