FOX News Plays the part of Al Jazeera in the Political Sabotage of America

Posted by Juan

With no clear objective, FOX News shows its committed to enacting global chaos

Fox News

Is it me or are politics nastier than they’ve ever been.  Talk about the mudslinging at the Health Care debate rallys, the conservative outcry over  or the circumstances surrounding the Van Jones resignation.  Its all been a fight and very little compromise.

I fear that the election of the first black President although a victory for racial progress has caused those bigots who would have it not be to further disguise their hate as politics and unleash their anger on the entire political party who supported him.  The Democratic agenda has been dissected by the opposition piece by piece and protested tooth and nail.

I support President Obama for what I feel he has and can do for this country.  His skin color although important historically is insignificant to me politically.  With that said, his presidency has been problematic at best.  I realize that admitting that is in some way fueling the radical opposition but it can’t be ignored.  No longer are we fighting the war on terrorism in the Middle East but the facing political terrorism and government sabotage right here domestically.

As Malcolm so eloquently pointed out recently, the “jihad” has been sparked by FOX News playing the part of al Jazeera essentially setting the conservative agenda and setting it way right of the isle.  Yesterday it was announced for the third consecutive time, FOX would stand as the lone broadcast network that has opted out of carrying a prime time speech from President Obama.

While Americans certainly can flip the channel to watch the speech if they so choose, It would seem that FOX is committed to controlling the information its loyal viewers see.  Its almost as if they concerned their conservative base might actually realize Obama is a politician and not the socialist devil they paint him as. I joke when equating FOX to al Jazeera but imagine if FOX were the only news outlet available to people, would they not function in the same way as their Arab “counterparts?”  Disseminating propaganda is the most dangerous form of media.

Then there’s this whole Van Jones controversy.  Almost a year ago I published an article bigging up Green energy innovator, Van Jones.  At the time he was featured in a “What If I Were President” video campaign in which he shared some of his ideas for creating a self-sufficient Green Collar Economy.  Impressed with his ideas as I was, The Obama Administration hired The Yale graduate to be the “green czar” and advise the President about environment-themed job creation in disadvantaged areas.

But as some of his less professional criticisms of the opposition “magically” became public he’s been forced to step down.  As our good friend, Zack Issacs (Highbrid Nation Since 2008) points out, his resignation wasn’t entirely his own undoing.   Jones was brought down by the whistle of Phil Kerpen, chairman of the Internet Freedom Coalition.

Should we be surprised that Kerpen also is a Fox Forum contributor on FoxNews.com?  While the President has been committed to government transparency in effort to purge government of corruption and controversy, it doesn’t appear that Kerpen was motivated by that same noble cause.  Peep his Facebook status updates.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not waiving the Democratic or Obama flag here, just the AMERICAN Flag.  With so many foreign enemies preying on our demise, why are we helping them by being so divisive?  I know racism plays a big part but at what point to do we make a commitment to transcend our differences, agree to disagree on them and work together to make the changes we ALL can see need to be made.

You have hit on more than a few important points, so I will touch on them in my usual long-winded way (good article by the way).
.
The comparison between Fox and Al Jazerra is correct but also for an additional reason. Here in the west, we think of everyone in the middle east as being like Al Jazerra. But, just like western media, they have multiple networks, some radical, some not, some conservative, some not. Al Jazerra is actually a very close fox comparison for the middle east. They’re seen as just as crazy at times by the “normal” press of the middle east; and they no more represent the “real” middle east as Fox represents the U.S.
.
I don’t think that the “establishment” of Fox is being any harder on Obama because he is black. They are simply using the same play that they used during Clinton: attack EVERYTHING they do, and hope something sticks.
.
That being said, I do still believe that the political position taken by Fox opens them up for a takeover by racist elements; (since their stance makes them short on supporters, and because racists can hide themselves inside of fox under the cover of political disagreement).
.
And as I have said before, I honestly believe that Fox is harming America. I don’t think they’re doing it on purpose; and I don’t think they even realize that they are doing it; but still – they are harming the nation and there’s no indication that they plan on stopping soon.
.
As an exiled conservative Republican, it’s heartbreaking to see what has happened to the party; and what the party has allowed to happen to the country.
.
Lenin (vlad not John) once talked about taking control of Russia. He said that he didn’t take power, he found it lying in the street waiting to be picked up.
.
The same thing is happening now in the republican party.
.
I have (in jest) mentioned in the past, and I will now mention in all seriousness…
.
You want to be President Juan? How about anyone else in the Highbrid Nation? You give me a black man who’s at least 35 years old, has some brains, and believes in “old fashioned values”, and I can have them sitting in the oval office as a Republican President in 2017.

As always, your comments make me chuckle. Funny but true. I think you’re right, FOX is tearing this country apart. They’ve used the ignorance and anger of the masses to do their dirty work without much objective.
.
Attacking everything is not a plan. What invariably happens when you do that is a lot of people get hurt. Maybe I wasn’t that into politics during the Clinton administration but or maybe the Media has more influence with the internet and new media but something’s different.

Juan/Malcolm, did you ever watch “The Spook That Sat By The Door”? If so, what did you think of it?

I’ve never heard of it before. But based on the plot summary I found on Wiki, it sounds like it would be an interesting concept for a book/film.

I never have either. Do you recommend?

It’s a ’60′s revolutionary (Black) film. I watched it about 16-17 years ago; I’ll try not to spoil it: It’s about infiltrating an organization. That’s what we need to do with Fox.
.

President Obama is catching all kinds of crap from all directions right now. Even those who have supported him are being swayed by those who relentlessly attack every single point of his agenda (as you pointed out). I never expected him to deliver on everything he promised while campaigning. He knew he couldn’t, but he had to sound like he could in order to get elected. Healthcare ideally would work it it were nationalized. It would work better for the masses of the people, but perhaps not for the pharmaceutical companies and the doctors who make six/seven figure salaries. What Pres. Obama is trying to accomplish right now is a small change that perhaps will start snowballing and 20 years from now, we can have a better system. We are not going from what is now, to a Canadian/Cuban style healthcare system. Hell, College/University presidents don’t want to let go of an antiquated, unfair ranking system and have a playoff in division one college football. The money generated there pales in comparison to the money generated by the current healthcare system. There is no shot at changing it right now. But, with small, incremental changes and improvements, people will start to see the difference and demand change. And it will happen….some day. The American people need a good “bus boycott” of the current healthcare system…among others.

I like the college bowl system analogy. You hit it right on the head. People are scared of change. Especially when the ideas aren’t their own.

Fox news is fair and balanced…they are the only voice in a world of blind Barry followers……you say nothing about NBC ..National Barack Channel, ABC..American Barack Channel, CBS ..Columbia Barack Channel, MSNBS….Mindless Souls of the National Barack Channel…CNN ,Headline news etc etc etc….so if you disagree with Barry on his policies..thats not good…you all prob disagreed with W …and he got hammered daily by all of the above “media”…come on already… I have been an independent for 15+ yrs…first a dem ..then a repub….now nothing… if Van Jones were appt by W …and said the things he said…..ALL of the above “Barack” stations would be hootin and hollerin at the top of their lungs…..thank goodness for FOX…..try listening rather than playing the victim…as most Liberals do…always someone elses fault…

I “commend” you for putting so much thought into your acronysms. Fox news is fair and balanced? you must be on the payroll, because there couldn’t be anyone that blind, deaf and dumb! “…try listening rather than playing the victim…as most Liberals do…always someone elses fault…” You sound just like the white supremacists who blame people for being in the condition that they put them in…sort of like throwing the stone and hiding your hand. A “liberal”? you people throw that word around waaay too frequently, without giving it much thought. It’s like a reflex. What are conservatives trying to conserve, anyway? White superiority? Because “goold ol’ fashioned American values” include slavery, Jim Crow, segregation, and institutionalized racism. Or, are you going to deny that they ever existed? Why am I wasting my time?…

Lol. Beyond the issue of race, you have to realize that FOX’s slogan is virtually tongue-in-cheek. Everyone is quick to call me a flaming liberal, mindless Barack supporter. I’m about as moderate as they come.
.
Politics is just that. What annoys me is when spin doctors on either side of the aisle defiantly insist that there is absolutely not truth, credibility, validity or intelligence on the other side. Regardless of what your politics, there’s no way that the “opposing” party can ALWAYS be wrong. FOX paints a picture as if that’s the case.
.
The mere fact that you would perceive that EVERY OTHER NETWORK is totally biased indicates that your perception is skewed. You probably think C-SPAN is the product of the liberal radical movement as well.
.
I love the debate but you’re wrong on that.

Fox’s long history of news manipulation is no secret, either in the industry or the general public.
.
Fox has been at it for a long time. Here’s a video made during the Kerry campaign, so all of this was occurring even before Obama was around.
.
Part 1:
.

.
Part 2:
.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yXJIV4f4ZQ0&feature=related
.
On a personal note. This is the first time I have watched these specific videos, even though I have know about Fox for a while.
.
I know that any rebuttal against this video will claim that the people speaking are dishonest or have axes to grind.
.
In the first seconds of the second video, I notice that they are using comments from a reporter named STEVE WILSON. Let me tell you about Steve.
.
He is currently an investigative reporter for channel 7 here in Detroit.
.
He is a legend in the city, and openly attacks both republicans and democrats when he catches them doing something wrong.
.
He was the man who first started the reports that eventually led to the downfall of (democrat) former mayor Kwame Kilpatrick.
.
He is the reporter who was physically assaulted (on film) by the former mayors security staff when he wouldn’t stop asking questions.
.
He’s an old fashioned pain-in-the-ass reporter, and bad guys are often seen physically running away from him when he walks at him with a camera.
.
In my opinion, anything he says can be trusted. Even if it is against Fox.

Juan….I don’t think Fox is always right and the others always wrong…what ticks me off is at times mostly the “others” ..seemingly only report positive news on Barry…and/or the news although bad is spun to ease the negative. Do you think if a guy like Van Jones was in the Bush Admin they would have been all over that ? …Look at how they are reacting to idiot from South Carolina who yelled out during Obama’s speech…. I try to keep my eyes open..and read a lot…and do watch C-Span all i can..especially on Sunday morns 7-10….Obama is a smart personable guy and very likeable…I just think he’s a closet socialist and it scares me to death….

closet socialist? I’m trying to understand what gives people that impression without hearing it from others. Please shed some light.
