FORBES: Diddy’s ‘Hood Ranks #1 Most Expensive Zip Code
Alpine, NJ boasts a neighborhood roster with the likes of Diddy, Stevie Wonder and Chris Rock
The very posh town of Alpine, New Jersey has topped Forbes Magazine’s new list of the most expensive zip codes in the United States.
Located just 20 miles outside of New York City, but close enough to see the Manhattan skyline, Alpine (zip code 07620) is a small community of rediculous mansions that house the likes of Sean “Diddy” Combs, musician Stevie Wonder and comedian Chris Rock. Though Alpine tops the list with a median asking price of $4.14 million, prices there actually fell 23% there over the past year as a result of the recession/ economy.
Atherton in California (zip code 94027) followed by New York City’s West Village (zip code 10014) rounded out the top 3. Perhaps the most famous zip code, Beverly Hills’ 90210 landed at a respectable fifth place. Interestingly enough all top 10 zip codes were in New York, New Jersey or California. I’m still checking where Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn (zip code 11216) falls on this list. I’m having trouble finding it…talk amongst yourselves while I continue to look.

Must be nice. I’m still living in the hood! Oak Cliff! But I’m sure it’d be nice to live in that type of community. I mean who wouldn’t want to get out of the hood? hum.. I live in a mere 53 Qm right now. I must say an extra 30 qm would do just fine. I wouldn’t want all that money . I do just fine with 40K a year really .
