If you are a fan of VH1 reality shows such as Real Chance of Love, For The Love of Ray J and I Love Money (all of which are in some way spin offs of Flavor of Love) you may have heard of the show Megan Wants A Millionaire. The show is not unlike the other dating shows produced by 51 Minds except that the main character is looking for not only love but someone with a lot of money. The show is currently midseason and one of the contestant is a guy by the name of Ryan Jenkins. News breaking today is saying Ryan may end up being well known for doing more than being on reality show. He’s a suspect in the murder of Playboy model, Jasmine Fiore.

VH1 has pulled all mention of Megan Wants A Millionaire from there website. Rumor also has it that Ryan was also the winner of the new season of I Love Money that recently wrapped and VH1 has already decided not to air the show at all.

His publicist had the following to say on Ryan’s behalf, “Ryan is currently speaking to his attorney and will fully cooperate with the police in this matter. He is planning on meeting with them in the near future.”

Interestingly, Megan Want A Millionaire of one of the most poorly rated shows that 51 minds has produced. I’m half surprised VH1 didn’t keep it on the air to exploit all the publicity.

Personally I’m bummed about I Love Money 3. I Love Money is one of my favorite TV shows.

UPDATE: Turns out Fiore was not a Playboy model at all but had only done some promo work for them.

Ryan Jenkins was a contestant on Megan Wants A Millionaire, an outside production, produced and owned by 51 Minds, that is licensed to VH1. The show completed production at the end of March. Given the unfortunate circumstances, VH1 has postponed any future airings. This is a tragic situation and our thoughts go out to the victim’s family.
