I agree w/you in that we have to be responsible for our own behavior as a people, and our track record is sketchy at best. But its an undeniable fact that the COPS also create a very tense environment b/c of their behavior on the ground at events like this and their past history of police brutality. But ur right ruthless if we had our shit together this would be less of an issue.

Im happy FIF is having this event but sadly enough the chances of something popping off there is VERY likely. Im not surprise about your your comment about the police 4PL but im sure its not bullets from there guns you will have to worry about. It will be a bullets from some fake ass blood or crip or teenaged kid that has beef with someone out there. Think of how many parties, block parties, parades, large gatherings were “black” people go to and think of how many of them were ended by someone fighting or shooting. Let be honest this has nothing to do with trigger happy cops. It has everything to do with us as a people and how we are our own worst enemies.

R u effing kidding me. This stinks of racism and classicism and a lot of other ism’s. Like u pointed out Juan NYC has tons of parades, fairs, concerts etc especially this time of year.And their crying over 10k people at a “Family Day” event in Queens. Why because its hosted by 50. Everyone bangs on him for being the Bad Guy all the time and here he is trying to do good and they still hating. FYI this is the second time the administration has shitted on FIF. Remember when he tried to callobo w/the mayors office on the condom distribution campaign, they straight shut him down. Its whatever though that’s how the the system is set perpetuating stereotypes till the very end. Now instead of a relaxed fun environment you gonna have a bunch of nervous trigger happy cops ready to shoot the first dude that reaches for his wallet. I live in Queens and I aint going not after this we’re to familiar w/the gung ho boys in blue from the 103, 105, and 115 precincts!
