Beanie Sigel Arrested on Weed Possesion in Jersey during traffic stop.

Small setback as entertainer preps his new album

Beans

The oft considered the most underrated rapper, Beanie Sigel, again arrested in a New Jersey Sunday on narcotics possession during a “routine” traffic stop.  Born Dwight Grant, Segel and the two other men in the vehicle were charged with marijuana possession under 50 grams and released.  Beans was said to be on the way to a small performance at “Kelly’s Bar”, which is owned by Wrightstown, NJ councilman Scott Timberman.

No stranger to the law In 2004, Sigel was found guilty of federal weapons charges and sentenced to a year and a day in federal prison.   On March 27, 2008, Sigel was sentenced to three months in prison for a third probation violation following positive tests for Xanax and Percocet over five times in the past month. Since being released from custody in June 2008, Sigel has maintained a relatively low profile but most recently has started to revitalize his music career starting with a cameo on Asher Roth’s debut album, Asleep in the Bread Aisle album and a verse on “Have Mercy” off of Raekwon’s Only Built 4 Cuban Linx II, a track you’re probably never hear because the album is basura.  He is currently finishing up work on his newest album The Broad Street Bully which is still tentative slated to street on Sept. 1.

This is a Microcosm of a larger problem people being arrested for using drugs. It’s such a waste of time energy money and resources to lock someone up b/c they like getting high. I’m not just a pothead blowing off steam Law enforcement, science, and politicians agree Locking people up for getting high doesn’t work as a deterrent only treatment can do that. What do you think happened 2 minutes after Siegel was bailed he probably rolled an L or popped a pill.

BTW-Ghost is probably the most underrated MC
