Posted by 4PL

Official Release Date 10/6/09

Former Bad Boy Artists Shyne will be in court manana for a parole hearing, to determine how long he will have to be on parole once he’s released. The rapper’s original sentence was ten years for his role in a NYC nightclub shooting in December 1999. As of his release date he would’ve served 8 1/2 years and would be mandated to be on parole for at least 1 1/2 years.

Not only will the judge determine the length of his parole but conditions as well. Shyne could receive up to 5 years parole which would be the ultimate hurdle when it comes to getting his career back on track. His lawyer Oscar Michelin is trying to convinve the judge to be linieant with PO  “[We’re] trying to say [to the judge] ‘Enough is enough. Five years [post release supervision] is overly harsh and unnecessary,’” Michelen explained. “What I said in court on the 21st and I’ll say again [tomorrow] is the court needs to take into consideration how a person needs to make a living. And that punishing someone to five years post release supervision hampers people differently [based on] the way they’re going to make money………. “He’d need permission for everything,” Michelen explained. “And so that would really be a problem and be very restrictive on him.”

hopefully he didn’t spend too much time writing raps while he was in prison. By now they’re all outdated, he’ll need to drop some autotune in there a talk about swag.

Wow!! I just can’t believe all that time has passed. It might actually be to his benefit that all that time has passed because he vocally sounds like Biggie, Biggie has been dead for so long that he could find a niche.

I’m happy for PO. Dude has been gone for a minute and I think he’s served his time respectfully. I don’t know too much about the inside info on contracts or what not but I wonder if Diddy would try to sign him back to Bad Boy? All I know is that he needs to come out with something better than that Jimmy Choo song he had some time ago. Take it back to the original PO with a 2009 twist.

  6. Daaaaaaamn!!!! Time flies!!! I was just bumpin both albums the other day.
