MAINO: Lack of Parental Discipline Lead To Him Catching Gonorrhea

Posted by Juan

His story is like so many others, but rarely shared. Hear why its important.

We’ve all at one point or another wished we lived the celebrity lifestyle.  The money, the cars, the girls, the STDS?!  Well with more action, comes a greater risk.  With industry groupies recycling through hip hop clicks the incidence of sexually transmitted disease though unpublished is very high.  Young, rich and famous combined with ignorance is a recipe for disaster.  All the time we see groupies claiming to have had children by rappers and athletes but understated is disease bi-product.  With so many women LOOKING to get pregnant by the rich and famous, they’ve neglected to protect themselves from STD’s and have become carriers, spreading diseases like cancer.

While your first reaction might be to laugh or ridicule, I’ve gotta salute Maino who was willing to share his experience with STD’s and how the unprotected sexual celebrity lifestyle landed him with Gonorrhea at the very least.  Known for being the sensitive and honest type, in this interview with Angela Yee on TeamYee.tv Maino shares his very important his experience with catching an STD

“When I was a little kid, yea,” he told Angela Yee about being burnt.  “Young man, 13, 14. I had gonorrhea definitely. Yea. I didn’t say sh** to her. I knew what it was. I went to the doctor, got my shot … Shot in the ass.”

Maino attributes the lack of parental discipline and guidance to his ignorance about safe sex.

“I didn’t get punished. That’s probably why I was getting burnt,” said Maino.

I’m not saying that Maino or others need to waive the Safe Sex flag but just him sharing his story publicly is important.  It serves so many purposese.  He’s teaching those that look up to him, as a mentor.  But also he’s firing a warning shot, a wake-up call to those women AND MEN out there who are trying to impregnate the rich and famous.  Sure the come up is cool but rarely ever does that path lead to a better life.  More often than not it leads to disease.  Protect yourself, wrap it up.
