Chicago Company To Make Diamonds Out Of Jackson’s Singed Pepsi Hair

Posted by Juan

LifeGem reportedly owns locks of Michael Jackson’s burned hair and plans to process them into diamonds for sale

MJ Fire

In perhaps the strangest posthumous Michael Jackson news, a Chicago area company said Friday that it had obtained some of hair samples from the infamous 1984 Pepsi commercial fire and planned to create a limited edition of diamonds from it.  No BS!

According to Dean VandenBiesen, founder of , a company that holds a patent on the process to extracts carbon from hair and turn it into crystals that can creat high-quality laboratory diamonds.

VandenBiesen told Reuters  he has enough singed hair in his possession to make about 10 diamonds. Though no sale price has yet to be announced, VandenBiesen and LifeGem previously created three diamonds Beethoven’s hair in 2007, and sold one of them for around $200,000.

You’ve gotta be kidding me.  Where do you put the bling?  In your ears?  There’s something entirely creepy about the whole thing.
