Allhiphop.com is reporting that police have investigated the lyrics of a rap song writted by Keith Norfleet, the ex-boyfriend of Sahel Kazemi, the woman who shot and killed Steve McNair before killing herself.  Apparently the lyrics in Norfleet’s “Closed Casket” which was posted online via Soundclick was questioned as to having information linking him to the crime.

“If you ever do it again (expletive) I’m not rapping/I’m getting a clip and clapping and I’m not laughing/ They’re wrapping you up for your little trip to the morgue/While I’m preparing for my trip to the shore/Don’t ignore me, I’m not lying, I couldn’t be more honest/If you ever do it again, you’ll die, I promise.”

The track was originally uploaded in February and recorded some time before that.  McNair and Kazemi were believed to started dating in March.  Police has since backed off the lead after Norfleet’s sister Crystal told The Tennessean that the track was not about McNair, or Kazemi but rather her husband, who had cheated on her with a younger woman.

“He puts his emotions on pen and paper, and that’s where they stay he never wrote that with Steve and Jenny (Sahel Kazemi) in mind.” Crystal told the paper.

In other McNair news, a custody battle is heating up after it was discovered that the former football star did not leave a will.  According to TMZ.com, McNair’s widow Mechelle who was named administrator of his estate, named her two sons, Tyler and Trenton, as heirs but neglected to include McNair’s two older sons from a prior relationship, Steven McNair Jr. and Steven O’Brian Koran McNair.  TMZ is stated that Mechelle always questioned her husband’s paternit of the two older children despite the fact McNair was dropping $500 a month in child support.  However, under Tennessee law, Mechelle gets 1/3 of the estate and the remaining 2/3 is split evenly among the heirs.
