Have You Seen ‘The Jerk’?
No, not George Bush. The dance crazy that sweeping the West Coast skinny jean wearing hip hop kids?
Here’s Cali dance crew called the “Go Go Power Rangers” demonstrating the new West Coast dance craze called “the jerk.” While I don’t quite understand the dance, I’m more amazed by the fashion statements made in the video. I had a hard time accepting the tight jeans look but this takes the whole style to a whole other level.

I thought you were referring to that Steve Martin film. Oh wait… Didn’t they have a dance called the Jerk back in the 60′s or early 70′s? I have to talk to my grandma about this.
I thought about the Steve Martin film as well. I think there was an old school dance, this hardly qualifies as an homage.

I still can’t get with the skinny jeans. Although it is practical for this dance, doing that with big baggy jeans would be damn near impossible.
