Spurs’ Richard Jefferson Gets Cold Feet. Never Shows to His Wedding

Posted by Juan

Walks away from his bride and $2 million wedding with 2 hours notice

Kesha Ni’Cole Nichol

One of Highbrid Nation’s own RuthlessNYC is getting married next week to his lovely girlfriend of many years.  Many congrats to them. The newly minted San Antonio Spurs, Richard Jefferson was set to go down the same path last Saturday.  However, according to the New York Post, Jefferson got cold feet and left his bride-to-be standing at the alter of their posh $2 Million Manhattan wedding ceremony.

Jefferson, who was just traded from the New Jersey Nets in June reportedly kicked his fiance and former Nets dancer Kesha Ni’Cole Nichols to the curb the weekend prior however neglected to tell his guest until about two hours before the ceremony which was to be held at the Mandarin Oriental in Columbus Circle.  Nichols on the other hand immediately called her family and friends to alert them that the wedding was of and not to show.

“He called about two hours before the wedding. It was nuts,” said one of Jefferson’s groomsmen.  He never showed up at the hotel, but “all his boys were there,” the friend said. “He gave his best friend the Black American Express Card for the night.”

I guess when you have money and are used to everyone loving you, you can just not give an eff.  Not about your fiance or your friends and family who showed to help you celebrate.

  1. I heard it was via e-mail. But so much is going on with this story right now. It was said that he wrote her a check to help her move on, six figures.

  2. Emerson Diaz says:

This is so disturbing to me, I need a check to move on too……It doesn’t surprise me anymore how egotistical and selfish many professional athletes seem to be…..on the other hand, if you are not 100%, best to not do it…. at least she has that check! many people get left with just a broken heart!!!

  3. yourfriend says:

Well, this solidifies the “rumors” about him. You know…the same kind that Terrell Carter had to deal with last week. She’s better off not marrying him.

  4. ron g says:
