Inspired By Michael Jackson’s Death, Mase Announces His Comeback

Posted by Juan

What is the 4th, 5th return?

Mase

Former Bad Boy artist, Mase is back.  During an interview with DJ Self on New York’s Power 105 the entertainer said that Michael Jackson’s death inspired him return to music after a five year layoff.  To celebrate his return Mase also dropped a remix to Drake’s “Best I Ever Had,”

“Mike passed away and it just lit the fire in me — it made me go in the studio and do something. I’m excited,” Mase told DJ Self. “I asked my nephew who is the hottest thing out there and he said “Drake!’ When I listened to his music I said, ‘I’m going to jump on this joint.’”

During the interview, Mase sent a solidarity shout out to his former label head, Diddy and on again/ off again Harlem World homeboys Jim Jones and Cam’ron.  Surprised by the announcement, Jones called into the station to apologized on-air to Mase “for anything I ever did when I was younger. I tip my hat to you. This is monumental and it’s nothing but love.”

Mase of course originally bounced from the music game to pursue a preaching career, a move still questioned by many.  In 2004, however Murder Mase returned briefly to the game to drop his “Welcome Back,” album that reportedly moved over a half million records.

I thawt the whole reason he kept disapearing was because he owed so much money to Diddy still that anything he made off of an album woulda went to Diddy and not 50???? Wasn’t he in the same predicament that Young Buck is in right now?

Well either way he already done ruined his image by going from Pastor Ma$e to MURDER Ma$e. His best bet is to stay gone, the rap game aint what it was when he was out.
