? Of The Day: Amid Yet Another Plane Crash, Are You Confident In Flying

Posted by Juan

What the hell is going on?

Yemeni Airbus 310 Crash

A passenger jet carrying 153 people from Yemen crashed into the Indian Ocean in bad weather early Tuesday while trying to land at the island nation of Comoros.

The Yemeni Airbus 310 was flying the last leg of a journey taking passengers from Paris and Marseille to Comoros via Yemen. Most of the passengers were from Comoros, returning from Paris. Sixty-six on board were French nationals.

I can’t even count at this point how many plane crashes we’ve had in recent months.  One would think as time progresses that pilots would have less trouble flying planes.  However experts are saying the advancements in technology are playing a part as supercomputer operated autopilot programs have produced very inexperienced and lazy flight crews.

The question is with all the problems that planes are having staying in the sky, how confident do you feel boarding an airplane?

Flying is becoming more dangerous than living on Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. In any Ghetto!

I won’t fly. I’ll drive anywhere I have to but I will not fly. I hope my daughter doesn’t mind an 18 hour drive to Disney World! I guess I can scratch Hawaii off my vacation list……

I’ll continue flying. I have more of a chance at getting mugged in my own neighborhood (not that I should put that out in the universe).
