they should have gone “glam” like GQ a long time ago. hip hop kids eventually grow up and the demographic they are catering to is the one whose taste shifts too often.
I am gonna miss VIBE ,I saw that coming the hemorrage was way too obvious , thinner issues, less ads , less creative content.

I still think black magazine owner are totally stuck in the old model of the business. Its liek they just can’t think.

I’m actually rather impressed with their digital outreach. I think they could do more to compete with the AllHipHop.com’s of the world but they’re 2.0 savvy.

It’s best for them to explore more digital content. Newspapers and Magazines will be obsolete at some point… Newspapers are already feeling the crunch and are folding rapidly across the country. If the had moved quickly in making a name for themselves on the web they’d be in a better position. Let’s hope The Most turns out to be a viable medium in the future.

They’re online game is sick so I hope they stick with that but either way its an end to a very solid run for the book. It launched the careers of many quality hip hop journalist.
