AllHipHop.com & Track Entertainment Collabo for New Urban Division

Posted by Juan

AllHipHop to piggyback Track’s corporate portfolio, advertising sales utility and event marketing expertise

All Hip HOp

AllHipHop.com has teamed up with Track Entertainment to create a new urban division. This strategic partnership will capitalize on the extensive online equity of AllHipHop.com and Track Entertainment’s digital portfolio and twenty years of event marketing expertise. Combined the traffic of both websites will be an attractive element for advertisers to the tune of more than 5 million monthly unique visitors and over 200 million page views from 18-34 year-old lifestyle consumers.

Track will now become the online advertising sales force for AllHipHop.com and mange the event marketing opportunities and initiatives, including AllHipHop’s signature “AllHipHop Week” events. On the flip side AllHipHop can not tap into Track’s corporate portfolio and extend its reach beyond its current die-hard hip hopper boundry.  Advertisers will now not only have access to integrated web campaigns but  offline marketing opportunities all under the AllHipHop umbrella.

“Choosing a competent strategic partner is always something that we are very diligent about,” Chuck Creekmur, CEO of AllHipHop.com said. “There is no doubt that Track Entertainment possesses all the necessary qualifications for us to expand our brand presence and offerings in the most low-cost and high impact manner. We’ve seen great improvements thus far as we introduce new products and services to our users, and we look forward to continued success with our new partners at Track Entertainment.”

Track’s existing online brands include Clubplanet.com (the largest nightlife directory in North America with over 2 million members), doyoulookgood.com, nocheLatina.com, CoolJunkie.com, Wantickets.com, and NewYears.com.

Without knowing a lot about the particulars of the deal I’d have to say AllHipHop is getting fleeced FROM A BRAND PERSPECTIVE.  The AllHipHop.com brand is the strongest online brand in music’s most powerful genre. Associating it with the less impressive Track and sites like doyoulookgood.com although it might be lucrative is diluting the brand a bit.  We’ve reported on AllHipHop.com’s own admitted mistakes in the past, so I’m sure they’re very calculated in their decision but at first glance I’d give it and “ehhh!”
