Hurricane Chris ‘Performs’ For Louisiana Legislature. Why Hip Hop is a Joke #459
How Can Society Take Hip Hop Seriously When This Type of Shenanigans goes on?
Earlier today (Thursday) the preceding video of Louisiana entertainer, Hurricane Chris hit the net. Apparently his home state’s House of Representatives had nothing better to discuss that they decided to not only honor the silly ass rapper but allow him to put on a monkey suit and perform the song “Halle Berry.” Apparently all the levees have all been rebuilt, the state’s economic woas solved and in the event of another Katrina, New Orleans will be scrrraate.
Anyway I don’t know the song (much to my credit) and barely even heard of Hurricane Chris but here’s a little sample of the lyrics that I’m guessing were approved by some idiot to be performed for legislative body.

Well done Louisiana. Well done Hurricane Chris. Collectively you all have once again socked Hip Hop yet another black eye. But no sweat, the last one hadn’t healed yet so no one will notice.
What did Hurricane Chris do to be HONORED by the great state of Louisiana? Oh and the woman in the teal suit doing her best hype man impression, cuing the DJ and everything is apparently is Chris’ godmother. Its unclear what her role in this debacle was but if indeed is part of the legislature she should be strung up for allowing herself to be video tapped participating in this tomfoolery. Her seat in the legislature just got hot and those gunning for it don’t have to look far for campaign ad material. Whoever was in charge of this circus ought to be shot. This is sad…funny but sad.

well written. omgoodness, tomfoolery at it’s peak! it hurts me the most to see my people putting forth such a miserable effort to appear diplomatic and refined only to fail in the worst way. i am completely ‘disbarrassed’ (yes, that’s disappointed and embarrassed.) with “signs of the times” like this, it is clearly evident that armageddon is surely coming SOON! lol
That is so sad that he would perform that song. He doesn’t have a clue and Barbara Norton the horse face in teal is his godmother. And she has a place in the legislature. That shows just how much respect she has for herself as a black woman. Stupid is what Stupis taught. Its apparent he know nothing about politics and she doesn’t either. She can kiss her little position good-bye. And as black woman in Shreveport, LA good ridance. She is not worthy to represent the city nor the state.

First this is a young cat doing his thang. He’s not ready to be political yet. When Ice Cube was that young, he was labled as a hoodlum and then he grew out of it. Let this man do his thing. I kinda felt the same way when I first came into this blog, but I recognized that women have been exploited by men for….forever. The fatback award is about admiration and appreciation of a fine woman, and you won’t see any of the regulars calling the women b****es or ho’s, or saying some of the nasty shyt that this guy said about Halle Berry. Juan, Dos, or The Chef now are not running around snapping pics of women on their cell phones and posting them here. These are promotional/professional pics that these models agreed to and many are making a living off. True they’re being degraded and exploited in some of the hip hop videos and some rappers even produce or appear in porn videos. You don’t see that here. You are way off base and show your immaturity by making derogatory remarks about someone on a blog. It don’t take much of a man to do that. Get a grip!
