iPhone Coming to Verizon’s forthcoming LTE network?!
Verizon CEO, Ivan Seidenberg talks the future with Charlie Rose
Verizon and its head honcho, Ivan Seidenberg, have been making waves in the mobile technology sector recently after Seidenberg alluded to perhaps carrying a version of Palm’s new Pre thus poo pooing Sprint’s big launch of its long awaited phone.
Now it seems there’s buzz that the undisclosed exclusivity that AT&T has enjoyed on the iPhone may be set to expire. In an interview with PBS’ Charlie Rose the Verizon chief answered questions on whether Verizon Wireless would carry the iPhone. Interestingly, Seidenberg indicated that it was “Apple’s decision” on whether it would build one to support the company’s forthcoming LTE network.
However when asked about the increasingly popular Android technology? He did confess that recent reports of a Motorola handset coming its way “might be true.” Android is the company that is responsible for T-Mobile’s highly successful G1.
