NBC Helps CBS To Promote NCIS Spinoff Show Starring LL Cool J.

Have you every heard of one TV network helping another to launch a TV show? Well mix that will LL Cool J and you have a pretty good Highbrid Nation story.
NBC Universal’s, USA network reportedly will collaborate with CBS to air two “NCIS” episode from last season to segway into the new “NCIS: Los Angeles” spinoff starring LL Cool J and Chris O’Donnell coming this fall.
While USA already carries reruns of “NCIS” but these two episdos which are scheduled to air tonight on USA introduce LL’s character and are designed to spark interest in the spinoff on the competing network.
Ordinarily episodes from the recent seasons aren’t syndicated on USA for some time but CBS struck the deal with NBC to provide marketing punch. In return Variety reports that USA will be offered episodes earlier.
