Rapper Max B Found Guilty on 9 Of 11 Counts
Max B & his step brother were on trial on charges of murder, robbery and conspiracy to commit murder from 2006 botched robbery that resulted in killing of man
Looks like the Harlem “Surfer’s” wave crashes here. Former Dipset affiliate, Byrd Gang rapper and Jim Jones antagonist Max B (Charly Wingate) was found guilty of some very serious felony charges just moments ago in a Bergen Count Court House in New Jersey.
Max B and and his step brother Kelvin Leerdam were found guilty on 9 of 11 counts; both are charged with felony murder, robbery and conspiracy. Max B faces 20+ years to possibly life behind bars from a botched robbery that left one man dead in 2006.
The prosecution’s key witness was Gina Conway, Max B’s former girlfriend, who agreed to exchange her testimony against Max B for a shortened sentence of 18 years for her role in the crime.
Max B was detained and held in custody immediately after the verdict was read. He will remain in custudy until sentencing on July 30, 2009. His attorney plans to appeal. Max B did release this official statement:
“Thanks for all the support. Don’t forget about me. I’ll be back out there again,giving ya the music ya wanna hear.” – Max B
