The President Has The Lakers in 6.

Posted by Juan

Do you think its cool for the President to be so interested in sport during this economy?

Obama at the game

While President Obama is on perhaps his most important trip to date, (visiting the Middle East,) he still has his beloved basketball in the back of his mind.   While boarding his Marine One helicopter for the five day trip a reporter asked the president who he thought would win the NBA Finals, the Los Angeles Lakers or the Orlando Magic.

“The Lakers in six, I think,” The President replied.

While its unlikely that the President will be able to catch any of tonight’s action due to the time difference and more pressing matters at hand, he’s sure to be updated by his aids or via his blackberry.  Earlier this morning the president delivered his highly anticipated speech to the Muslim world from Cairo.

So who do you have winning the series and do you think its appropriate for the President, the traditionally neutral figurehead to be making so many predictions? Does it send a bad message that he’s paying attention to sport while the country suffers through a horrible recession?

He’s human just like the rest of us so I think it’s okay for him to love the sport just like I do. Oh yeah I’m going with Mr. Prez Lakers in 6

Sometimes you sound just like the critics of the president. It’s called multitasking. I’m pretty sure it doesn’t take much time out of the day to make a prediction. I think it takes longer to use the bathroom then to make a simple prediction. If he went to a few games in the finals then that’s a different story. The Prez was right about UNC winning the NCAA tournament, But he’s wrong about this one, Magic in game 7. Fuck the lakers, and I live in Cali too.

Hey…Hey…Hey! I’m being objective here. I’m posing the questions that others are. I haven’t shared my opinion. But since you asked…I love it. I think its dope. He’s not the Manchurian candidate. He’s a person that dates his wife, drinks beers, likes sports and tried weed. Sounds like a guy I should trust.

I have the Magic winning in 6 games. The better team will win and that’s the Magic. The Lakers still don’t have the best team. I really thought Bynum would make the difference for the Lakers but honestly they look like the same team from last year. If Howard plays as physical as he has in the past two series the Magic will win easily…possibly sweep but I’m not that bold to predict a sweep.

SO SKINNYGIRLUVER & JAMISON I KNOW IT’S EARLY BUT DEM LAKERS PULLED OUT A CAN OF WHOOP ASS LAST NIGHT HOMIES. NOT SUPPOSE TO GET BEAT BY 25 IN THE FINALS NO EXCUSES. KOBE!!KOBE!!KOBE!!

I give respect when it’s due, and Kobe did his thing last night man handling the magic. Still EARLY though and magic could get game 2 once they start hitting the 3′s consistently. Kobe is the best player in the league but I still hate him though. I’m still strong with Magic in 7.

Give me a break! The President inherited a multitude of urgencies on his first day of leadership; which has continued to multiply! Yet, he has managed to select the most qualified, energetic, youthful and talented staff to tackle what appears to be an impossible task! Then too, the President has managed to face his enemies with grace, strength and COOL! To go further, President Obama has shown the world not only how to be a man; but a husband and father. Anytime, the President can take a moment of joy, he needs to in order to maintain his sanity!!!!Go President Obama. You are the best thing that has happened to this world besides our LORD; whom you lean on to guide you. I am now proud to say I am an American because of your leadership! Enjoy your love of Basketball as a diversion in this world of judgers.

I don’t feel it’s a problem that Prez Obama is callin’ who he thinks is going to take the championship in the finals. I doubt that him even making a choice in the matter distracts him at all in an important way. That’s some fly shit that my Prez is shoutin out Lakers in 6. lol. And I gotta say, his speech in Cairo was an amazing one.
