50 Cent & Bette Midler Collabo To Fix up the Park
BFF’s do good work for the New York Restoration Project in NY’s Fort Tyron Park.
We’ve seen some very unlikely collaborations in recent years. Some worked well while others made you scratch your head. Who would have known the Run DMC/ Aerosmith partnership would still be talked about some 25 years later.
While I’m not sure this unlikly couple will be remembered in the same light, Bette Midler and 50 Cent have been coming together to make a difference. Unlike a collaboration of the musical variety, the duo joined forces Tuesday for Midler’s New York Restoration Project initiative.
The organization, which raises money to restore, develop and revitalize underserved parks, held its spring picnic at Manhattan’s Fort Tryon Park early this week.
“He is such a gorgeous star – holy cow!” she told the New York Daily News. “I’d love to collaborate with him, but I’m way [30 years] older than him. I really can’t rap, but I’d like to sing in the background on ‘Get Rich or Die Tryin’.”
But what does 50 think about his fellow philantropist?
“Look how beautiful things are and how nice it feels when [I'm around her],” he smiled.
Speaking about a possible musical duet, 50 said:
“Me and Bette [collaborating] would be really hot. But I’d need to make something new for her. For the right song, we’d definitely get together.”
