In Stores Now: Who Ya Coppin’? (5/19/09)
Hip Hop has big releases this Tuesday (5/19); some you know about and others you don’t
Today’s New Release Tuesday (5/19) and some Hip-Hop Heavyweights drop albums today May 19. Some you obviously know about due to the huge marketing/promotional push some are getting and others…not so much. Normally I wouldn’t give this much attention but since today features releases from some ‘very to relatively’ high profile MC’s there’s definitely some decisions to make with your dough…so who gets signed and who gets cut?
Today’s releases feature LP’s from iconic, legendary, respectable, underground and underrated rappers. Here’s a rundown:
Eminem – “Relapse” (You had to be in Solitary not to know about this one)
Busta Rhymes –“Back On My Bullshi*t” (aka “B.O.M.B.”)
Method Man & Redman – “Blackout! 2”
Sheek Louch – “Life On D-Block” (Did anyone even know this was droppin’ today???)
Guru (of Gangstarr) – “8.0: Lost & Found”
Freeway – “Philadelphia Freeway 2” (1st non-R.O.C. release)
So with all that said…WHO YA COPPIN’?

I’m proud to say I was the first to officially buy Em’s album today. I walked right into Target after doors opened at 8am and walked out with my cd with 15 seconds till 8:01….This album is classic and by far the best album Eminem has put out. Hope he sells more than a milli, a milli, a milli……

LMAO! Come on ca$h! You know I was gonna cop Em’s album. But no hard feelings because I’m gonna get Weezy’s “Rebirth” too. Maybe not bright and early like I did for Em but I’ll get it that day. How about we have a discussion about it when Weezy drops the album? LOL. Speaking of music, I know you doing your music thing and all that so have you put out any mixtapes?
