Irv Gotti Producing The Music Industry’s ‘Entourage’ for HBO
The INC’s head honcho fires Ashanti and gets a new Entourage all in the same week.
Apparently Irv Gotti, President of the once popping, Murder, Inc. is jumping even farther into the deep end of Hollywood. With his music label all but a wrap, Gotti has been reinventing himself with his VH1 reality series “Gotti’s Way” and in recent conversations with HOT 97‘s (New York) Angie Martinez and XXL Gotti (born Irving Lorenzo) has revealed that he allegedly has been working on series with HBO called “160 Varick” (which is the original Def Jam address in Manhattan.) The show allegedly in the same vain as Entourage but instead based on the music industry.
Raise your hands out there if you’re a fan of HBO‘s Entourage! By the way…hasn’t that been off the air for some time now? Anyone know when that’s coming back? The HBO programming has been kind of weak lately. I digress.
“I’ve already met with the presidents of HBO,” Gotti tells XXL. “I just don’t like talking about it because it may never see the light of day if it’s not great the way I want it to be. My agent is Ari, the real Ari, Ari Emannuel. The guy that Jeremy Piven plays on the show, in real life, that’s my agent. So I’m in the process of finding the best writers to write the sexiest, wittiest, funniest shit that’ll make a great HBO series.”
Though I hate Irv’s (dare I say) swagger with a passion, this actually could be quite interesting. I would expect a lot of strippers, sex, drugs and diamonds of course. The cameos will be ill and of course the soundtrack could be amazing. With HBO behind it, this might be something to really look for but like Irv said, I won’t get my hopes up as it hasn’t yet cleared.

I’d watch it. I already watch Gotti’s way and it gives us a good look on what we don’t see. It’d be nice if Hova did that and by the way, am I the only one who thinks Deb is hot? F### Irv! Deb needs to realize that he ain’t never gonna settle down….not anytime soon at least. I wish they’d show a back shot of Deb on the show, I’m dying to see it because I know she might be worthy of our prestigious Fat Back award! Yo Dos, make it happen!!!!
I’ve heard grumblings about a Beyonce reality show. I’m sure it would include Hov but I’m not sure it would be in the exact capacity in which you’re thinking.
HAHA! And whats that Juan? I’m just saying Deb is an attractive woman and Beyonce is even better! But if rumors are true, a Hov/B reality show would be great! I’d like to see how there life really is behind the scenes. I know they love each other deeply but we just don’t see much of it in the public eye. And can you imagine all the hot bars Hov would be spitting just for kicks?
