Jamie Foxx’s “Blame It” sets Record for 12 consecutive weeks At #1
Blame it on the hook!
By now you’re just about as tired as I am of Jamie Foxx’s “Blame It.“ The song is great don’t get me wrong and very catchy, especially if you’re drinking in the club but file that in the very played out folder. So played out that the folks at RCA revealed to us this morning that it has officially set the ALL TIME record for 12 consecutive weeks at #1 on the Urban Mainstream chart. Previously TLC’s “No Scrubs” was #1 for 11 weeks in 1999
“Blame It” is also coming in at #1 on the Hot 100 Audience chart for a 4th week with an audience of 119.6 million. The single maintains its Top 5 status this week landing at #3 on the Rhythmic chart (after a 5 week run at #1), and #5 on the Top 40 chart.
If that’s not enough, Foxx’s album Intuition is long-since certified platinum and currently #6 on the R&B Albums chart. Not bad for a comedian/actor who some would say was out of his mind for trying to get into music.

He performed this song on Tyra along with his new single “I Don’t Need it”. I would’ve guessed this song died months ago, but that’s only because I never listen to the radio – would’ve never known this song got so big. Wow!

Well that’s not Jamie Foxx lol. Is that you Ca$h? The file streams a little slow. You should holla at Karboso about perhaps giving you some burn on the mixtape and Evorgleb when he gets back from soldier duty about a feature.

What’s more amazing is that a 41 year old man achieved this feat! In this industry, folks tend to judge your music based on your age. Big ups to Jamie on that.
