T-Pain Cast in live-action ‘Aqua Teen Hunger Force’ Season Finale
will play “Frylock” and rock a yellow french fry derby
The Cartoon Network’s “Aqua Teen Hunger Force” is trying something new. They have casted entertainers T-Pain to guest star as “Frylock” aka the floating box of french fries in the show’s first-ever live action episode. The series which first debuted in 2000 is set in New Jersey and follows three anthropomorphic fast food characters, Frylock, Master Shake and Meatwad. and has since become one of the longest running shows on the network’s Adult Swim programming block.
Actor Jon Benjamin will play the self-proclaimed leader “Master Shake.” He’s been on screen in “Sex and the City” and has done voice overs for shows like “Family Guy” and “Aqua Teen.” Meatwad, the lovable but stupid ball of ground meat will be depicted by a red exercise ball.
Last year Adult Swim teamed up with Burger King to sponsor a nationwide search which ultimately wielded 23-year-old Dave Long Jr. from Edensberg, Pa. to play the part of “Carl Brutananadilewski” the menu food item’s next-door neighbor.
According to Entertainment Weekly, “Pain is a huge fan of the show (he often wears an Ignignokt pendant around his neck and actually did the voice for the ‘Die’ ventriloquist dummy for the ‘Dummy Love’ episode) so he was more than happy to wear his signature stovepipe hat in french-fry yellow for the part.”
The season finale is slated to air on May 31st at 11:45PM.
I’m not a fan of the show and MAY have caught it once or twice but this seems like a rough concept for the finale. If there are any fans out there in the Nation, please sound off!

Meatwad is my favorite character and he’s going to be played by an exercise ball.
I’m interested to see how this comes out but the thing that makes the show work is the ghetto animation. I think a live version of South Park would do better than this.
If you guys like ATHF then you should come check out the minds behind this fast food trio, Dave Willis and Dana Snyder, at Lakeshore Theater on November 13 and 14 at 7:30pm and 10:30pm.
Live-action? Wow, I posted about this on my site but I had no idea it was going to be live action, lol. I figured he was just going to do voices. I LOVE this show to death, I mean it’s only like 15 minutes long so you watch a season together and you’ll enjoy it. Can’t wait to see this!
Its very strange. Cartoon network plays into that strange sort of humor and can be more flexible with the animated format but it’ll be interesting to see if that translates in live action.
